At breakfast I take magnesium, vit D3, B complex,
Taurine
, L Tyrosine, L Theonine, Krill oil and passion flower drops in the hope of making myself more alert during the day. I also take

Maybe a "how long is a piece of string" question, but how much of the T4 in levothyroxine is converted into T3?
Obviously it depends on how well one converts the T4 to T3, but when I did the 24 hour urine test when I was taking just levo. it showed I was converting reasonably well so I wondered if there is a way of calculating what percentage of the T4 would in fact be converted. The reason I ask is I am presently

Chest Pain at 19?
Hey guys! I recently had tonsillitis about a 1.5 months ago and was treated with penicillin. I came of the antibiotics a tad early as was feeling better but could feel it coming back so I jumped back on the penicillin. I was still really tired after finishing my antibiotics and was told to get a blood

My BG Test after 3 months
Today I went for my regular sugar checkup. I was very much surprised as everything was under control. As I was not hoping the results to be that much good. HBA1C is 5.6(last time it was 6.1). Creatinine is normal and Urine test is also normal. I was so happy that I had a cup of
rasmalai
today.

Can anyone tell ne if there is a preferred method of iodine testing please- urine or pinprick, neither being loading dose?
Hi, Just wondering if anyone can tell me if there is any difference in accuracy please between a pinprick or urine test? It seems neither involves having a loading dose first. I'm interested in checking iodine levels and adrenal levels, before starting thyroid supplementation. Any advice very gratefully

I'm new here and I am not sure if I have endometriosis....
Hi, ever since I started my periods, I never experienced period pains...maybe had some flatulation and very very mild cramping, but besides that I thought I was incredibly lucky. Just under two years ago I had the copper IUD put in and my periods became heavier and oh god, so very painful at the start

New to here
Hi, I'm new to here. Just wanting to connect with other parents in the same position. My husband and I have a four and a half year old girl who wets herself daily. She has never been dry. She has been out of nappies in the day for almost two years now and we haven't got anywhere in terms of her knowing

Careful med considerations - know yourself, know your meds
There are times you have to be well informed to make a major decision and the best research through appropriate experience, specialist information and consultation can leave you with a crucial choice. Tests and Tests but no answers yet.
Hi All, I posted several months back due to the fast speed of facial hair, fatigue. We are talking full facial hair like a mans. I returned to the doctors to be told all blood tests showed nothing and the GP told me to get electrolysis as I am fair. I returned to see a male GP who did more detailed bloods

Dr's visit as expected yesterday- he "doesn't believe" evidence I printed off for him :(
Well yesterdays visit to my GP was a farce as predicted, and once again, despite taking my printed sheets ( from library here and links sent via forum) I came away in tears. I took my partner with me as back up and another pair of ears and we both fared the same. Once again the Dr said "there is no indication

24hr MMA Urine Test Restrictions
Hello there, I've got to do a 24hr urine test to check my MMA levels which I ordered from Medichecks. The leaflet included with the kit didn't mention any diet restrictions but I was just wondering if there's anything I shouldn't eat or drink before or whilst doing it. For example is alcohol or caffeine
