Strange reaction to exercise post hemi-thyroidectomy
Next step is to add
swimming
back to my exercise regime. I tried going last week and after
swimming
I was exhausted and aching all over (to be expected) but the day after
swimming
I came down with a 2 day cold (which no-one else in the house has had).

Happy New Year and suitable exercise video information.
I was surprised to find it didn’t hurt any of my sore bits ( unlike walking and
swimming
) and I managed to get my heart rate up so I think I was burning a few calories too! So 2020 will hopefully find me joining in NHS studio videos and using my new hoopla hoop. That’s the intention, anyway 😬🥳

Cycling, running and
swimming
, long and hard is my background, and I would like it to continue that way, I believe it is my personal healing place if that makes sense. However I also want to be sensible about it.

Graduated today, can’t believe it!
I started on a diet (healthy eating) and exercise programme of Zumba,
swimming
and walking. I lost 2 stone and felt great, but I got a rotator cuff injury that ruled out
swimming
. I decided to go for C25K instead.

2 Yr Runniversary
So much for JuJus 10km plan - I didn’t get too far with that one 😂 During 3 months of no running I did lots of
swimming
and cycling to keep up fitness. Now for the funny part - it’s taken me since 04.09.19 to get to week 5 of C25K!! So that’s about a month for a week of the programme!! Oh dear.

Advice re Chronic Fissure for a 40-year-old Athlete
I'm basically limited to upper-body lifting and
swimming
, which I only recently started again (mainly the breast stroke). That seems not to aggravate the fissure and, if anything, seems to help -- presumably, but getting blood flowing.

Granuloma Annulare - feeling like an outcast
As an already nervous/arkward teenager at the time, I had all sorts

What I've learnt in the last few days
So I think from now on, I'm going back to my old secluded, solitary route. 3/ The Fitbit Charge 3 is tough - now I know that you can wear the Fitbit Charge 3 when you go
swimming
, but you can take it for a spin too!

Anyone have problems with feeling they are not disabled enough? What do you do about it?
I think maybe because I did
swimming
classes every week from age 7 to 16 and trampolined for hours a day in my garden, it strengthen my legs. I accidentally kicked my friend in the shin in year 8 and by the time we finished sixth form at 18 she still had a dent in her bone.

Low Heart rate, should I be worried?
Just checking some of my
swimming
& walking. Fitness stats etc led to me checking my daily heart rate stats, which I hadn’t looked at for ages..... Realise that on a fair few occasions over last 10 months my HR is low 40’s , very occasionally it has hit 32 at rest.

In focus: stomas - travel
This could be because of changes to your diet and stoma output, normally associated with going
swimming
or because you’re sweating in hotter weather.

What a day!
As I explained in the meeting today I am not living my normal life, I don’t read and I don’t go
swimming
( I used to swim more than a mile a week) because of the fatigue which is brutal. I have always been a very sociable person but I am now virtually a recluse.

Walking,
swimming
, stretching and yoga can be beneficial. If you’re thinking of going back to exercise that you enjoyed before your diagnosis, or trying something new, ask your doctor or lymphoedema therapist for advice.

OFF the COUCH... MARCH... WEEK 2... So... why on earth are you running????
Turning to catch my breath, my heart was full; memories of my lovely childhood and my parents and my Nan… days of sunshine,
swimming
, sand, sea and laughter…days which, our daughter and her family will enjoy, and sometimes, wonderfully, will be shared with us.
