open Heart Surgery

hi. I was born with a hole in the heart but it was not detected until I was 32 namely 34 years ago. I had open heart surgery at Wythenshawe Hospital in 1984. It went well and recovery was quick. It takes time to build up stamina to return to normal. By the time you leave hospital you should be able to get out of the bath on your own. You will need a good chair to sit in and no lifting of hoover or pans with water in for about six weeks. Nothing heavy. You will need to snooze in the afternoon. A non slip bath mat. My heart is 40% larger so I have issues with my lungs and COPD. I wish you all the best.
