Is Interstitial Cystitis linked to Autoimmune thyroid disease?
I saw a urologist 3 weeks ago as I have been suffering with occasional bladder issues- pain, bloating, urgency, slight leaking & strong smelling urine since symptoms related to my thyroid. I also get a upset stomach when it happens and occasionally a temperature. It flares up for a week or so and then

Trying to figure out how big a problem protein in urine is.
I urine test and it said my albumin was 50. Since normal is between 30 and 300 this seems low but I haven't been able to ask my Dr. yet. Can you guys help me out? Is it a trace or something that I should be concerned about. Thanks.

*WARNING* Long moaning post. Please scroll by if you're feeling frail....
Apologies for this post but I am so frustrated and don’t really know what to do. I was diagnosed back in September by GP with PMR. ESR 49. Prescribed 15 mg pred. The improvement was amazing. No pain anywhere (even old osteoarthritis was masked). I was euphoric. More tests discovered I had an abnormal

I know the answer but does 11dpt give you an accurate reading on a pregnancy urine test? I can see a squinter but that probably means it didn’t work (again) ☹️

Sea air and liver disease
This may seem a very random question, but I wondered if anyone lives by the sea, regularly exercises on the beach or swims, rows or does some boating activity?! If so, has inhaling the salty air had any adverse affect upon your liver disease in terms of fluid retention, sudden change in diuretic dose

Use of nebulisers
My daughter was using a nebuliser with a drug for pseudomonas but she was taken off it because it was making her more breathless . She is still waiting for an alternative a month on ! But should she go back to using her original saline nebuliser meanwhile ? is it advisable to use a saline nebuliser

My MSK Precise / SBRT Journey -- Simulation
I had my simulation procedure at MSK in NYC yesterday. Overall, it was a long day, but much of it was waiting in between the phases of the process. I had prepped in the morning with the Citrucel, Gas-X tabs, and saline enema, so when I arrived I was ready to roll. The first part involved the CT scan

Hi, just wondering if anyone can give me some info. I have an appointment with rheumatology on Thursday and I've had numerous bloods done over the last year, chest xray, stool and urine samples taken. Would the consultant give a diagnosis during the initial appointment if he feels it is fibro or would

Autologous stem cell COPD therapy
Hi, I underwent an excision of my left lung due to cancer in 2017, I am 70 years old and from the day of the operation I decided not to use medicines but to rely only on rehabilitation, good nutrition, and lots of exercise. The only help I have are sprays of saline with eucalyptus drops 3 times a day

Weird
Hi everyone. I’ve had anxiety for 11 years and now depression. I sometimes get these days where I can’t slow down my mind. It’s like my nervous system has been turned up and I feel like I’m going crazy. I’ve had head CT scans, a brain mri, all sorts of blood work along with endoscopys, urine tests and

Doing the best with what we have
I've really enjoyed reading some of these posts written by people that deal with CMT and overcoming obstacles. You all are very courageous and I admire you all. It was a huge disappointment to be diagnosed with CMT when I was 11 years old but even worse when I lost my vision at the age of 12 and had

Help with interpreting results
Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone might be able to help me interpret my recent blood results at all please? I've also done a urine sample for my GP who found traces of blood and protein in my urine. This was apparently then sent off to the lab and the GP has now requested me to do another sample to check

Links between pernicious anaemia and kidney function?
Hi all, I have pernicious anaemia which is treated with 12 weekly injections... I've recently had some blood tests as part of a pre op as I'm having a total thyroidectomy next month. The results flagged up that my kidneys were out of "normal range" (low egfr & urea, and high creatinine) My creatinine
