Rheumatology apt

Hi, just wondering if anyone can give me some info. I have an appointment with rheumatology on Thursday and I've had numerous bloods done over the last year, chest xray, stool and urine samples taken. Would the consultant give a diagnosis during the initial appointment if he feels it is fibro or would he want more tests first. Many thanks all.

Hi, every rheumatologist is different, but if you have all the test done already, and you discuss your symptoms, 9 times out of 10, yes you could get a diagnosis on the day.Good luck.

It will depend on whether your gp had already done blood tests etc to rule out other conditions. If tests have been done and all have come back clear, then rheumatologist might just confirm diagnosis with further testing
