I've been bleeding black blood for 9/10 days now quite heavily and feeling very weak and lethargic. I just got a call from the doctor saying my urine sample came back as mixed apparently I have bacteria in there that isn't usually found in urine and I'm in quite alot of pain in my left groin but that's where most of my endometriosis is just so fed up with it all angels I could really do with some advice from this miserable situation xxxx

Hey, sorry yout having such a miserable time at the moment. The only thing I can suggest is keep on ringing the doctor, you know your body and if something isnt right for you then keep pushing they shouldnt be fobbing you off.

If the doctor didn't suggest treatment, I'll second talking to your doctor again and telling him about those symptoms. And if you haven't had one recently, I'd want a blood test for red cells and ferritin - you might be anaemic with the blood loss. Hope you can get a helpful consultation.

I presume your doctor is going to give you antibiotics if there are bacteria in your urine? Make sure he/she knows about the history of bleeding and how you are feeling. To be honest if you were bleeding when you did the urine test it could be contaminated by that but if you get antibiotics I would take them just in case. If you are in pain then ask for pain relief as well, no reason you should put up with that.

Longer term, even if you get fobbed off on this occasion with it being down to a UTI keep going back to the GP if you still have pain/ unusual bleeding. I know it’s hard to keep pushing especially when you feel really ill.
