Hi everyone, hoping that someone has advice for me. I have a GP appointment tomorrow (he asked to see me) to discuss the kenalog injections I started a few months ago then stopped after an appointment with his colleague when he was on holiday. Boring background is (according to consultant) severe persistent

I am 46 and have Osteoarthritis in knees and they hurt all the time. I have had steroid injections in both but it hasn't helped. I am on Citalopram for depression. I feel like everything is a struggle. The doctor has given me painkillers for my knee and told me to exercise. Any advice to help the pain

I was diagnosed with seronegative inflammatory arthritis about 17 months ago. I had my first related surgery on 6/20/2017. Thankfully, I am right handed. I now have a half cast/splint on my left wrist which I'll be wearing for the next 5 weeks, 2 days. I have tenosynovitis involving the tendon of

Groin pain flare = inflammatory arthritis?
I'm currently diagnosed with UCTD plus possible fibromyalgia. In the last six weeks I've had two episodes of a new 'crisis' - groin pain that I'm guessing is coming from the hip joint. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I have had mild pain in both hips (really the grease of my groin, on both sides

Hi everyone, I posted in March about the long waiting list to see a rheumatologist and this week I finally had my first appointment. Having previously been investigated for similar symptoms in my teens with no satisfactory diagnosis or treatment I was very nervous to say the least! The doctor I saw

OA, fibromyalgia and pain
Hi everyone This is my first post on this forum. I have read a lot of your posts and find them very informative and helpful....... it's good to know you're not alone with this awful pain. I am 59..... the big 60 in December, however, I feel at least 90 most days. I have quite severe OA in my left hip

These are a few of my favorite things..(ideas really) after 18 months of PMR
I have learned so much from all of you so willing to share that I thought i might be able to help some also along the journey. Here are some things I know now that I didn't know before. Take what you like and leave the rest. 1. I don't put myself in situations where I may have to hurry. My brain doesn't

Update on steroid injections
I am giving a quick update to anyone who would like to know. Day 3 and the soreness is minimal and the pain in my shoulder is minimal from injections but not in my neck. I can barely move it sideways and it feels like I have pulled a muscle or something. One thing I have noticed is so far I have not

Update after seeing rheumatologist
Hi everyone, So I've seen my rheumatologist and she has decided to put me on etanercept. I hate injections, but will have to learn to get used too them 😂. I've also had my steroid injection, so I can't wait to feel the benefits of that!! Hopefully after my holiday I'll be settled on the new drug

Cranial nerve blocks ( steroids injections) causing an elevated INR?
1. Just out of hospital last week for a major DVT ( arm) with low INR ( 1.9, 2.2 , etc) with accompanying migraines 2. Migraines are suspected Hemi crania continua - fits the bill pretty well and linked to APS 3. Two days ago I received 24 injections into skull of steroids- cranial nerve blocks for pain
