Not said anything before as I was wondering if it was just a days rest from the pain in my muscles. Had the injections last Wednesday and after words I was sore and the next day I cried as I normally respond to steroid injections really fast and thought blow it's not working.
Well Friday came and I could not believe it I had no pain and done one of my favourite things 4 hours housework. Some off you will think I am absolutely mental but I do love a very clean home. Then Saturday came and I went out with my oh shopping and had lunch. I can't begin to tell you how happy that made me. First time in I don't know how long that I have not had any pain anywhere.
Woke this morning and still feeling good so I am hoping for day 3 with no pain.
It makes me remember how I was before all this started and it's lovely to feel normal again. I am trying to stay very positive as that might also help. Keeping my fingers crossed π€ π€π€
I truly wish you all as pain free as you can be and you all take good care of yourselfs. Sending you all lots off warm hugs π€π€π€π€π€πΊπΉπΈπ· xxxx Jan101

Morning Hun, good for you, take it while it is there. I don't know how long theses injections last. But it must feel good for you at the moment. Enjoy. π€π€ππ xx
I used to have these until last year and found that as time went by they took longer to start to work and the effect didnt last as long, but this may not be th same for everyone.
I am now taking oral steroids, which make me feel like superwoman, but the body just physically isnt up to the job.
So whilst the jabs keep working for you carry on with them.
It really is just great to feel normal again if only for a short while.
Hi love thank you π. I use to have the tablets before my back trouble and like you I use to be on the go all day and felt great. π But for the muscles he said it would have to be the injections. So fingers crossed π€ let's hope they continue for a while.
I have been recommended to an Indian man for Physio and have an appointment with him for tomorrow but I am now a bit worried in case he might do something to start it off again. Not sure what to do now π€as I was still in pain when I spoke to him. He comes highly recommended. Maybe I should tell him my pain is quite at the moment. I am really confused as what to do.π€π€ I can't begin to tell you how happy I am it feels like I am back to normal but that is me just being hopeful while it lasts.
I hope that you are feeling as well as you can be. Take good care of yourself hun. π€π€π€πΊπΉπ·πΈxxx Jan
Hi Jan101 I can see what you mean about the appt with your Indian gent.Do you leave well alone while all is going ok.Its that old adage "if it aint broke dont fix it".If he starts exercises or treatments now that everything is settled will it just inflame the situation..
You say you spoke to him when you were in pain, which is not uncommon when we are hurting we look for relief and quickly. Also I wouldn't imagine his services come free of charge so may be worth hanging on to your cash until you really need to use it.
Only you can decide the best course if action for you ,but I would be tempted to leave well alone whilst the steroid jabs are working.
Sorry for late reply. Yes I think that you are right. I am not going to let him do anything to me while everything is quiet. I will go and see what he has to say as it's a bit late to cancel now. Appointment is for 12.30 today. My oh said the same as you if it's not broken don't fix it. Thank you for your advice.
How are you feeling yourself?
Sending you lots of warm hugs and take good care of yourself. π€π€π€πΊπΉπ·πΈxxxx
You are welcome Jan101 ,hope you can manage to gain a bit of useful info from the appt. for the future.
Not feeling too bad just fed up as I am housebound for approx 6 weeks or so and now the nice weather is here and I cant go into the garden and I want to go on holiday--- aaaarrrgghhh! Soooooo frustrating.
But nevermind I can get all my paperwork and bits and pieces up to date and catch up with my reading. And at my husbands request watch all the stuff I have recorded on skyplus and delete it !!
He was really lovely a youngish man in his late 30 I think.
He went through my full medical history. He also explained so much to me that once people have finished with the doctors on so on that they don't get help with the what is left in there minds and how the mind is the best way to help with the left over problems. He explained that we are the ones that can really help ourselves. Once the body is healed then if we can get stronger and fitter then you don't feel pain as much. He did not touch me but gave me 2 more additional Exercises to the ones that I am already doing. He gave me a 2 hour appointment well above the time that I was booked in for. It's to long to explain everything in detail but he really made a lot of sense. Once I came out and gave it a lot off thought it really made a lot of sense to me.
So I am going to give it a try and see how I get on. I've got nothing to lose only gain if it all works. Also he was very responsible only Β£40 for 2 hours and that is very cheap in comparison to the other osteopaths here.
Sorry to hear that you have been house bound for 6 weeks. I can totally relate to you as I was in bad for nearly one year.
It's good that you have things to keep you busy and entertained. I do the same to my oh and he keeps saying have you watched this and that yet.π
Keep well and hopefully you will be able to get out soon. Like you I am desperate to have a good holiday but will think about that when I completely know how I am up to with the pain if it stays away. Take care love and thank you for your advice. πππ
Glad you thought the advice was of some help.Sometimes we just dont know what to do for the best, and as we are usually suffering at the time we are willing to give anything a try to get some relief.
Sounds like it was a useful appt, and hope it cleared up a few questions for you.
Cant be any harm on gentle exercise as ling as you dont overdo it .
Β£40 for 2 hours was excellent value for money so all looking good for future appts and you clicked with the chap which helps no end.
Take care, stay well, let me know how things progress.
Thank you so much. I can't tell you how happy I am as it's been so long without a full break from the pain. Fingers crossed π€ that it will continue. Hope your feeling as well as you can be. Take good care of yourself sweetie. π€π€π€πΊπΉπ·πΈxxxx
That is wonderful news and hope the good effect keeps on coming. I must admit housework wouldn't have been my first occupation mm if my pain had gone but each to their their own, lol.x

How are you feeling now?
Take good care of yourself my friend and I hope Julie is well also.
Thank you so much that is genuinely appreciated. I am starting to pick up now and the diabetic abscesses are under control for now, so I am very happy thank you.
I am truly so pleased for you my friend. Let's hope that they stay under control for a while. I don't know much about that illness I did not realise that diabectic could get abscesses. Take good care of yourself my friend and give my best wishes to Julie. π€π€π€πΈπΉπ·πΊ xxxx
