Well, I have had three injections in my knees and these were performed by my local Dr. They were rubbish I'm afraid and didn't help me at all. After further request for help, I have seen a consultant (on the NHS) who has injected me with something a lot stronger. It is not perfect, but I can go up and down stairs better than before, and I can walk a lot better. Just dreading the day when this wears off!

Could you have a knee replacement. I was told I would need one 9 years ago but at that time they told me I was too young. Now they say I have to lose weight.

Ha! Ha! Well I can't have a knee replacement at the moment because they say that my quality of life will be worse if I do! I am told that because I'm an active person and go to the gym, walk with a stick that my quality of life will be worse! This means that despite suffering for many years, I must continue to struggle up and down stairs, cannot bend down and have the pain too! Apparently, I have to get an awful lot worse yet, sadly.

They help me but not instantly, it takes a bit of time for the pain to be dulled.

They help me but not instantly it takes a while before the pain is dullled

The second injection i had did nothing because it was put in the wrong place.

I had an injection 2 weeks ago and i pointed exactly where the pain is, the pain went away nearly instantly. Don't know how long it will last but it is brilliant at present.

Good luck.

Injections didn't help me for hands and thumb but did for knees and also worked really well on my heel

It is 15 days since I had my injection and it did start to feel better by day 6.. I think because I had instant relief the first time I had an injection I thought it would be the same again because it was'nt. I have sent for some Turmeric capsules as I have been told by 2 people they are an inflammatory and they reduce the pain greatly so I am hoping this makes a difference.
