I have that Friday Feeling
It’s Friday and what a difference a week can make. Last Friday I couldn’t even dress myself but thanks for being brave and asking for help I am feeling so much better today. The steroid injection is now working it’s magic. Yay! Have a lovely day. 😊

Difficulty sleeping
For the last couple of months I am really struggling to sleep which is really impacting on my emotional health too. Initially my difficulty sleeping was thought to be due to my low vitamin D levels which I have been treated for. Having a flare up at the moment and was given a steroid injection last week

Here we go again...
Hi all! My last post (I’ve just checked!) was an embarrassing 4 whole years ago, when, according to my posts at least, I was doing alright, training for a 10k (which I completed along with a couple of others!) and running regularly. But, as the saying goes, all good things must come to an end and my

Sore muscles
Can anyone help me? Both my mum and myself have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Once we got t4 and I also got t3 we realised we had very sore leg muscles which has gradually got worse and worse. My mum was prescribed steroid injections . I wondered if my muscle pain is due to lactic acid . Any thoughts

Appointment with Rheumatology nurse
I’m back home now after my appointment with the Rheumatology nurse. Been given a steroid injection to try and calm this flare up down and advised to not overdo it. Learning that balance between not overdoing it and resting is a fine balance. My rheumatology nurse is going to give me a call in the next

Pain in upper arms - steroid injections?
Hi Everyone, this is my first ME post. I have been suffering since the end of last October with pains in my upper arms, I can't raise my left arm to it's full capacity. I believe this could be another symptom of ME? I have seen my GP who does not know what it can be, I am having an X-ray next week.

Epidural Steroid injection
I have had two epidural steroid injections. Make sure you tell them to put an IV in with Meds to help relax you and help with any pain prior to procedure. I was fine on my second one.:-) Good Luck.

Anybody here firstly misdiagnosed wth RA or PSA before they got a diagnosis of LUPUS. I have had joint pain multiple tendioinits and mild swelling for some 10 years, episodes of protein and blood in urine without infection- 2 ultrasounds done NAD. Used to get hives every summer that changed to burning

And to top it off been on MTX 15mg no side effects last few weeks and have increased to 20mg and the nausea is awful today

Painful hip after depo injection?
Hi all, hope you're all well this wet and stormy day. I saw my consultant on Friday and after agreeing the next steps for meds I was given a depo injection in the bottom. Ever since I've had a really painful hip joint (never had a problem before). I'm at the stage today that I can hardly walk and had

Bursitis & Tendinopathy
After having focal myosotis in my abductor muscles I’m now experiencing pain in my hips, groin and thighs as I think the tendon aren’t supported by the muscles now as they’re permanently damaged. Anyone experienced this with having myositis? I’m back for my mri results tomorrow just wondering what treatment

Another challenge.... Thryoid and AF
Well after all the kerfuffle over the steroid injection before Christmas, I now have another challenge. MRI test on my spine to check out a recurring hip disorder discovered a 3cm nodule on my thyroid. Evidently these are often discovered accidentally... or even incidentally... when undertaking unrelated

Weakened Immune System and Open Plan Offices at Work
Hi I have recently been diagnosed (Nov ‘19) with RA and I have been off work for the past few months as I had a hip replacement in September. I have been on Methotrexate for almost 6 weeks and steroid injections prior that - I still have pain and stiffness but certainly not as bad as it was initially
