Is neuropathic pain and hyper mobile joints a disability?
Hi
I'm not sure if it's classed as one or not but I would think so, I have fibromyalgia and that is. I do think you need to inform work as they can adjust things according to your needs . Love and hugs Lynne xxxx
Hi Cazzie
If you have health issues, try to speak to Access to Work, a governmental body advising people like you. Website is access to work.gov.uk
It may be that your employer needs to make reasonable adjustment.
Best wishes
Thank you for the info. The chronic pain I'm having is definately in reoccurrence ever since the seizures I suffered from eight months ago. I find physio can help, but not to much as if I overdo it, flare ups are present more. Am focusing on some consistent physiotherapy once or twice a week, needling, and rest. They think the nerves got damaged near my T4 and or some muscle damage there and around my back to my sternum.
May look into injections see if doctors say viable in my case.
It's most tiring mentally to feel injuries or ill on a daily basis. But I do feel I'm slowly improving, this is coinciding with some small slow weight loss I. Working towards.
Feel better too, not being alone and discussing really helps. Thanks.
For the purposes of PIP and other benefits it isn't the condition that is classed as a disability but how it affects you. So there is no list as such of approved disabilities.
Look at the Benefits and Work website where they explain about things like this, as well as speaking to Access to Work.
Have you been tested for Ehler Danlos hypermobility syndrome ?
