Swollen stiff and painful Left knee and tight tendons behind both knees.
Hello everyone, I hope all is going as well as you can hope for. I would be grateful if any of you that have experience what I describe here can throw a bit of light on what is going on. Naturally, at this time, it is almost impossible to speak to anyone medical that deals with me. I’m now in my 6th

Can I ask if this is normal
Sooo I’ve been on Sulfasalazine just over a week now and generally things are going well. I’ve had the steroid injections into both knees ... the thing is that my right knee feels quite amazingly different and well but my left knee is much the same as before but without the ‘turning to boulders’ feeling

RA & Long Term Joint/bone Damage
Hello, I was wondering how long it took for some of you to experience long term joint/bone damage? There’s a lot of conflicting information online (as per usual) and it would be good to hear from some actual real people regarding the issue. I know it will be different depending on age of diagnosis

Joint injections - how long do they take to work?
Hi, I had steroid injections into my wrists yesterday. It's the first time I've had them. How long do they take to work? It's nearly 24 hours on and so far I'm not experiencing much change. A little but not very much improvement at all. I was left without treatment for several months while things

I'm new here, Pain in my joints, sleepless nights and im slowly losing movements and unable to function properly as they goes by.
I was diagnosed with De Quervain's tenosynovitis due inflammation on my wrist with a lump Nov 2019...I've had numerous tests and ultra scan to find the cause of the inflammation however the results came back clear. Was giving a steroid injection that makes the pain disappear and swelling disappears

Having flare not sure what to do.
Hello I hope everyone is doing OK today. I have been in remission for about year and a half unfortunately coronavirus hit the UK and my rheumatologist decided to take me off my RA meds due to low neutrophils and white blood cells and told me to contact my GP for steroid injection in case of a flare.

Any advise please
Any advise? Hi I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism 2 yrs ago and at the time I was tested for diabetes as my levels where high. As I had aching joints, tired and was putting on weight that I could not shift, which was unusual for me. I was put on 100mg levothyroxine tablets. I was still ill and tested

Using crutches to walk due to pain in legs
Hi I wrote posts before but I kind of want to get my thoughts out due to not speaking a doctor due to Coronavirus. I have 9 years of pain, had MRI, ultrasounds, physio, steroid injections to my nerves and laparoscopy done. So right now I had a MRI in March which said I have 5.2cm cyst on my right ovary

Painful , swollen and inflamed joints in hands.
My hands are very painful and swollen at the minute. I was supposed to start the daily injections too, but this is been postponed because of COVID. I had a steroid injection on the 4th March. But suffering at the minute. I can't get through to my RA nurse at the minute as they are so busy. Should I phone

Serious Deterioration whilst on biologic
Hi everyone, This is a long post, so apologies for that. I have been on a biologic Hyrimox adalimumab for a little over 3 months. At the start and very quickly it worked brilliantly to reduce pain and this lasted about a month. I then started getting far worse. The rheumatoid arthritis spread to parts

Why all these PPI are not working for me?
I have been diagnosed beginning of April with esophageal reflux, acid gastritis, duodenal ulcers and inflamed Xiphoid process. They gave me a steroid injection on my Xiphoid which aggravated the ulcers. Don’t ask me why they did that?! I took pantoprazole for three weeks didn’t help and now for a week

Constant pain, no end in sight because of the virus
Hi Since last year I've been suffering severe pain from sciatica, brought on by a slipped disc. I had the steroid injection in March which helped for about 5 days. I'm worse than ever but can't get seen for anything by any specialist because of covid, all non emergency departments are closed, but I'm
