Hi, I'm a nurse working in the community which is causing me so much stress. Literally 5 minutes ago I received a call from my GP informing me that I should have been shielding!! I've contacted our "covid team" who in turn contacted the GP. Since the official paperwork is being organised today and I'll need to wait to receive it, my GP is issuing a holding letter which will cover me from now. Maybe you can ask your GP about that?

I'm so sorry to hear that. I can't see why he can't issue a letter as he has clearly given you a sick line for 12 weeks stating high risk? If it were a line for being at risk, then I could understand as the criteria is different, but it wasn't, it's high risk?? X
