GCA or not ……..
I had a drs appointment this afternoon to discuss re-starting
steroids
after a recent flare up. I haven’t been on
steroids
since August. Whilst I was there I mentioned that I have had a strange intermittent headache around my left eye and temples.

Hi there, I'm 38 year old active, fit woman. I've been diagnosed with severe cervical stenosis at c6-7 with radiculopathy. Have had symptoms for 20+ years not realising what it was. Then last summer after having an appendectomy and 3 weeks rest, the pain behind left shoulder blade and in neck flared

I've been told I can't drive for 6 hours but i think that is more due to potential reactions to the
steroids
rather than the injection itself. Any advice would be gratefully received. TIA Sarah

Antihistamines for Post Covid Symptoms?
Hi, a few weeks ago I tested positive for Covid… It caused an asthma flare but my Fostair and Ventolin along with a course of Dexomethasone
steroids
seemed to have kept it manageable… Although the actual illness passed very quickly (temp, awful throat, horrible barking coughing fits) I have been left

Not sure if this is the right place
Fast forward to this year where I seen a new rheumatologist a couple of weeks ago she sends me for bloods and urine test stating that if these come back normal she will trial me on
steroids
to see if it resolves liver issues and then be able to confirm its autoimmune based on that whilst still trying

4am Wake up call
I know that the inflammation is produced in the body around this time but I am wondering if it’s the
steroids
causing this or the inflammation. Has anyone else experienced it? Would welcome any advice please Thanks in advance 😊

Asthma or COPD?
I can ride a cycle 15 miles (but admit to struggling with hills although I do have other conditions which could have a bearing on this: I have Paroxysmal Tachycardia (an arrythmia) and Polymialgia Rhumatica which affects muscles (but I take
steroids
for this)).

OTD BFN with Euploid - any advice?
I’ve had ERA, used antibiotics,
steroids
, Clexane blood thinners, I also did a progesterone test on transfer which revealed 39 result (target was 50) so I doubled my progesterone to 6 x cylogest and 2 x Lubion. I’m 38 and this was my third failed transfer.

Fed up of 'rotten luck'
I'm starting
steroids
and aspirin today for the high nk cells and sticky blood but it's pointless if we don't have a good embryo to transfer. So sorry to be negative. I know I might be jumping the gun so to speak but I just don't know whether I should give up on my own eggs and try donor eggs.

Update injections
So he put the injections in, first freezing cold spray then super freezing cold spray, then
steroids
shot. I had an anaesthetic in the spray but still felt the pain. It's done now and hopefully in 2 days the pain should lesson, or maybe go. But I feel exhausted and am falling asleep and it's 7 pm.

2 year old acute asthma
She has been hospitalized six times over the past year and was on oxygen &
steroids
during her stay. Just recently, she was prescribed an inhaler for acute asthma. Her doctor didn't fully diagnose her yet due to her age. She recently got sick and is starting to have mild breathing issues.

Dreading seeing the Rheumatologist
Hi everyone, I have an appointment coming up with my Rheumatologist which I’ve been under for the last 3 1/2 years (I’m in the UK, we don’t get a choice in who we see). It took him a couple of years to finally diagnose PMR. During that time I’d become almost housebound. He insisted I take the

Non alcoholic fatty liver
I am overweight but that's because I'm on high dose
steroids
for my severe asthma. I've cut a large amount of sugar and only eat 2 meals a day with some snacks in-between. I gained weight rapidly without changing my food.

30mg to zero in five days??
Friend has a severe chest infection and as part of his medication has been prescribed 30 mg of
steroids
for five days, then zero. I am just wondering how this is possible given all the advice about tapering?

Concerned. Is this just bad luck??
So had antibiotics and
steroids
. Well on Boxing Day I woke up feeling like my throat had shards of glass in it. Went to out of hours clinic the following day as I felt so awful and I've got a strep throat infection again( more antibiotics) I've never suffered so badly for years. Is this bad luck ??
