Bronchiectasis and use Pulmicort with tooth issues.

Hello, I have Bronchiectasis and use Pulmicort. I cannot do this at the moment due to a temporary filling. Will be in until after Christmas. Worried the force may pop it out when nothing open. I have fragile teeth. Had to stop using my Acapella. Therefore switched to upping my breathing exercises and more postural physio for now. Frustrating . Does anyone have any suggestions please regards the Pulmicort use or a replacement. I do not want to take Oral steroids as I have Hypogammaglobulinemia . Not on IVIG. I am ok with my Ventolin as use an Aero chamber. Any advice would be welcome. Thank you.

Hi Dottie, not sure why you cant use your inhaler because of a filling? I have r.a. bronchiectasis and use ventolin/seretide and at the moment having an dental implant (stitches out tomorrow) x

Hi... not sure why you feel you can't use the pulmicort. I would think the risks of stopping the inhaler are way higher than the risks to your filling by continuing.

If you have a nebuliser, why don't you ask your consultant for some Budesonide nebulising capsules.

Hi Dottie

I have been a sufferer for over 70 years and haven't heard of Pulmicort. if you want better information I always check with my local Chemist who usually has the answer to this sort of question, if not he will usually get an answer for you.
