Pneumonia Recovery
He is now on high dose
steroids
and oxygen. Most of the consultants and nurses have remarked on his progress and amazing recovery so far, but one consultant today suggested that he could end up with long-term lung damage/fibrosis.

methotrexate
I've tried numerous times to VERY slowly reduces my dose but without much success and my rheumy told me my body is now to dependent on
steroids
(it's been about 6 years). She said I have a choice that I can be on a low dose for the rest off my life or go onto methotrexate to help reduce.

I think I might need a second opinion regarding my Behçet’s diagnosis & management. What do you think?
Instead I was again going around in circles with my azathioprine and
steroids
.

Somewhat Fed Up at 4:45am
Not had more than 1-2 hours sleep a night for well over a week- think the
steroids
have kept me going. Going to respiratory consultant later today - 10 months I’ve been ill and off sick - maybe I’ll be better by next Christmas!

Continuous never ending onslaught - still trying to be happy happy positive but 🤷♀️
The inhalers,
steroids
etc have put the heart rate up to continuous 100-117 which is now exhausting me again, can’t walk any distance without puffing and panting out of breath. Yesterday GP noticed the heart is pausing/skipping beats and air entry in one lung not moving as it is in the other.

Consultant talked about beta blockers or

depending on what blood tests show, I don't know yet. Has anyone experienced this with Lupus?

Managing asthma while reducing steroids
Hi, hope you’re all ok. I’ve been lucky that I’ve been steroid free for about 5months and my asthma’s been fairly under control, which for me means taking ventolin maybe 2 or 3 days a week and sometimes several times during ‘that’ day. I recently caught a cold and I’ve been really congested with sinus

Taking steroids at night….
Thanks to all of you that have made contact regarding taking
steroids
at night. Have tried a few nights but don’t think this is for me. Am back to daytime but am going to talk to the pharmacist to see if there is a better way of managing them with my other medications during the day.

update on Steroid Injection.
Just an update on my last post. As I mentioned I had the X-ray and scan done privately as there is a long wait for scans on NHS. They were both done and the results were sent straight through to the GP. I had Hoped to get the steroid injection within a couple of days again privately. I telephoned the

What to do if dry air is a trigger?
I’m thinking about traveling again and wondering if from now on I will need to take
steroids
when I travel somewhere with air drier than where I live which is pretty humid. Anyone else has dry air as a trigger?

taking steroids at night?
Has anyone experience of taking
steroids
at nighttime? Am sure I’ve read somewhere that it was quite successful and am keen to give it a try. Am in the process of reviewing my medications and the timings.

GCA or not ……..
I had a drs appointment this afternoon to discuss re-starting
steroids
after a recent flare up. I haven’t been on
steroids
since August. Whilst I was there I mentioned that I have had a strange intermittent headache around my left eye and temples.
