Like me it might not have anything to do with not enough or too much use of
steroids
after all. One of those happy outcomes that we need! Happy bubbling…..

controlling temperature
I have had RA for 42 years and have had ever kind of medication including
steroids
for 40 years of that time. In recent years I am finding that I am overheating especially on exertion. I’ve had no change of drugs and am on prednisone Methortrexate and chloroquine.

Periods delayed after steroid injections
Hi,Has anyone had the experience of their periods being delayed after having steroid injections. If so, for how long? I'm a week late. They haven't been this late in a long while. I have an IVF consultation next month so I'm worried they won't return Thanks

Pain management Team
I have been waiting for 4 years to see someone in the pain management clinic at our local hospital. What a complete joke. When are the doctors and so called specialists going to help a patient who is in considerable pain and saying to him I want to cut my foot off. He was a complete waste of time, why

Adrenals are working!
After two years and two months on
steroids
. Now I just have to keep fingers crossed that Actemra is doing its job. Has anyone here tapered off or in the process of tapering off hydrocortisone. I know it’s not the end of GCA but I’m pretty excited. Peggy

Update on problems I had with my head last year
Using
steroids
all this time would have helped the situation of the inflammation in my head he said, and since 2017 when I was diagnosed starting at 20mg, I am now down to 3.5mg, I am not to reduce whilst all this is going on.

Worried about liver
I have also started to notice itching in my breast area and lack of sex drive, which feels like low testosterone/ high estrogen (I’ve had it before when coming off
steroids
when weight training, not taken them for 10 years) so this is concerning me.

Mycophenolate or Azathioprine ?
He said high doses of
steroids
are not safe to stay on long term either so he’s recommended I start either Mycophenolate or Azathioprine, both or which are immunosuppressants.

Cataract Surgery: NHS referral for fast treatment
I’m aware that cataracts are a common side effect of
steroids
. I’ve developed cataracts in both eyes, rapid growing and last week had surgery for replacement lens in one eye. The waiting time for NHS treatment at the hospital eye clinic is over three years.

advice on not taking meds for a day
hi me again, can anyone advise me on this. I have a gastroscope booked for tomorrow with sedation. I had a pre assessment today and they had no idea what GCA is and was going to Google it. 🙈 They have told me not to take my steroid’s tomorrow and it will not matter. I’ve tried to contact the the rheumatologist
