Virtually anything can disrupt periods and steroids definitely can. I remember this from an injection years ago, but can't remember how long. Wishing you all the best with your IVF appointment.
I do remember steroid injections messing with my periods and making them irregular. Sometimes making them late and other times early. I’ve not had a period for 10 years (I’ve had a merina coil fitted as I couldn’t afford to lose blood every month as I’m too anaemic) but from memory the irregularities didn’t last long and things were back to normal the next month.
Try not to worry about it. I've had 4 steroid injections and each time my period was delayed by 2-3 months which is how long the steroid usually lasted. Periods are inflammatory so it makes sense that the steroid puts them to sleep for a bit. But I'm sure yours will be back. Also, don't worry if it's a bit longer once it returns, one time when mine came back it came back in little bits over 10 days. Also, don't worry that they've not been this late before and now are. I found that the steroid injection gave me no fat atrophy the first time, fat atrophy the second and third time, and no fat atrophy but extreme mood changes the fourth time x
Thank you so much all for the helpful info. I'm trying not to worry. But it's all I'm thinking about right now. I know stress doesn't help things. I'm just praying they come back soon. I wish I was warned beforehand. I had no idea!
