Sudden onset poorly controlled asthma
They want to redo it when I am off oral
steroids
for 6-8 weeks as it could have been falsely low due to the recent course of oral
steroids
. GP has added In Esomeprazole as I certainly do have reflux and I feel much more comfortable.

New to vasculitis
I have been on oral
steroids
and strong antihistamines which worked and cleared almost all. The dermatologist is happy and told me I'm healthy and my skin is good. But I still have these spots on my face , scalp chest back etc but he says it's normal, well not normal for me that's for sure .

PMR symptoms after steroid injection 12 days ago
Happy New Year everyone. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas .🎄 I posted just before Christmas about awful shoulder and neck pain and that I saw a private doctor who thinks my symptoms are PMR. He gave me a steroid injection. It has helped dampen down the pain. It was excruciating but has since

Hi everyone Happy New Year to you all. Can anyone answer my question if it's safe to have a steroid injection for frozen shoulder if you have open angle glaucoma? Don't know what to do. Many thanks in advance.

hello, I have had back pain for as long as I remember however 3 years ago was the first episode of severe spasm in my whole back making me collapse and couldn’t be moved for hours. I was put on gabapentin for 2.5 years which I have tapered off because I’m not sure the problem was nerve pain and the mri

Osteoporosis
To me, that is not a great difference, having been on
steroids
for 2 1/2 years. I now have been told I should go onto Alendronic acid which I have avoided so far. Or 6 monthly injections , and having done a bit of research, have got quite worried about this.

Versus arthritis leaflet on steroids and PMR
I picked up a leaflet/booklet from Versus Arthritis about Steroid tablets in a hospital the other day and I think it would be useful particularly to those new to PMR/taking
steroids

Morphea treatment - PUVA or triamcinolone injections?
hello, looking for a bit of advice as I was diagnosed with Morphea a few months ago. I’m under the care of dermatology department. It affects my whole left arm, part of my rib cage and some of my right arm. The worst area is around my left wrist where the skin is particularly tight around the joint

Hello & help! Tocilizumab or Baricitinib?
Had a lot of
steroids
before starting Simponi which only seemed to work for 2mths before I’ve fallen off a cliff again with CRP over 50 & ESR nearly 80. If it wasn’t for my family, I think I’d give up. I’m trying to make a choice between Baracitinib and Tocilizumab now?

Struggling to get a definite diagnosis
To cut a long story short, I struggled but managed to get off
steroids
and in June last year had a hip replacement. My recovery was going well until 7 weeks post op I went to bed feeling reasonable well but next morning I couldn’t get out of bed.

pulse of steroids
Hi I had an IV pulse of
steroids
last Thursday, I was wondering what experience others might have had with this. Initial results were good, better pain relief, swelling in hands much improved, but I still have pain within each joint, especially wrists and knees.

The Plot Thickens…
I posted a few days ago about shoulder pain. It has got worse and is in both shoulders and is affecting my neck. It is far worse in the morning. My Osteopath gave me a private doctor’s contact details so I could see them for a cortisone injection. I had the appointment this morning and it turned out
