Feel dreadful after AFib episode
However after nearly 3 years on
steroids
because I also have Polymyalgia and decreased mobility due to recently diagnosed Scoliosis of the spine I still have a lot of weight to lose.My Cardiologist said that because of my weight I would not be considered for an Ablation and he is reluctant to prescribe

She didn't seem to take it on board that I have to be on
steroids
for the GCA & told me that they are causing me real problems with my eyes.

Asthma without infection
Treatment has been courses of antibiotics and
steroids
. I use DuoResp Spiromax 320/9 dry powder inhaler (and Salamol inhaler, when needed, not often). I also am in my 6th year of Permanent, though asymptomatic, Atrial Fibrillation after 22 years of Paroxysmal AF.

Tinnitus and high dose inhaled steroids
Does anyone know of research into high dose inhaled
steroids
and tinnitus. I have heard anecdotal evidence from people with asthma, but haven’t found anything online. I’d be interested because my tinnitus came on very suddenly and coincided with a change to higher dose steroid inhaler.

no pred. before an ultrasound? And increasing dose of pred.
(Thanks to a mix up at the pharmacy, I now have enough
steroids
to sink a ship...) I realise I am very fortunate compared with many of you, in that I now have no pain at all in my arms and legs. Thank you all so much for your support.

I’m currently researching topical
steroids
and trying stretching exercises to help. Does anyone have any experiences/advice with these and let me know how effective they are? Many thanks!

Cataracts & GCA
I then had them tested again in April this year as the blurriness I had experienced since diagnosis was getting worse - told this time it was the
steroids
/GCA & that once off the
steroids
they 'should' settle down again. He also said ' no change in prescription'.

Hair loss- PMR- Prednisolone
Is this due to
steroids
or PMR? Does anyone have the same experience? I find it quite distressing to have so much coming out every time I brush or wash my hair. Your thoughts please.

Rheumatologist Visit after 9 months
She is very much of the mind of getting of
steroids
asap and has already mentioned the steroid sparers to help us get lower quicker if need be. I will be taking DL tapers with me to show her as i do not want my mum given anything else as she is coping really well with pred and our slow taper.

'Headspin'
A few days after I was told this, I woke up with 'Bell's Palsy', and put on
Steroids
for ten days, which didn't work. The left side of my face has collapsed, and I have a permanent open eye, and lips almost vertical.

Feeling a little invalidated
I had acute exacerbation of asthma and needed more antibiotics and
steroids
. Anyway. It’s two weeks later and I have another week off. Hopefully I will be able to go back on MTX and then begin a new biologic (long story) before I go back to work. I’m still feeling a bit chesty though.

Pjsmart
It was caused because I attempted suicide in 1983 and the pills aspirated into my lungs so they had to give me massive doses of
steroids
to save my life and get me breathing again.

GCA now TIA, irregular heartbeat
Is this due to age, linked to GCA,
steroids
, bad luck? I eat a good diet, keep fit, balancing stresses better. It never ends. Definitely need to upgrade my dosage box now, so many tablets.
