Covid booster UK
Does anyone know if we can get spring boosters for Covid? I got the autumn one because of epilepsy, but it looks as though neurological conditions aren’t on the spring list.

I've recently been diagnosed with endometriosis. My consultant has issued me with provera tablets as treatment. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with taking these? Im a little apprehensive of the possible side effects. Many thanks

Facial Hair growth due to Cyclosporine
H ello everyone, I am a 25yr old female. It's been 3 months post my transplant and I'm on cyclosporine, prednisone & MMF. I have been. experience a lot of facial hair growth. My doctors told me it could due to steroid or cyclosporin but more likely due to cyclosporine. I have taken Steroids before

I've had the call for my Spring covid booster, but unfortunately I can't have Spikevax (Moderna) as last time I was given it I spent the next 6mths sorting out a heart arrhythmia that seemed to have been triggered by it. Just want to share that I had the above covid booster on Thursday (2nd May) and it appears to have triggered a lupus flare (in my case, rash, aching joints, splitting headache, extreme fatigue). I normally take prednisolone when I have a flare but feel it would be counter productive to what the vaccination

Do I need an ablation?
i’ve been on the waiting list for an ablation and the appointment has finally come up however I am really having second thoughts about having this procedure as I’ve finally been feeling very well lately after three years of highly symptomatic long Covid. Also I’ve only had one episode of AF in the last

Headaches / update, also Spring Covid Vaccine update.
I was grateful for everyone’s’ replies to my recent post and I telephoned my Haematologist who advised a blood test and to see a doctor as soon as possible If I couldn’t see my GP the Haematologist said they’d fit me in at the hospital clinic. However, I had a full blood test that day at my G.P’s and

Hi Ladies I hope you are all as well as can be. I had my day 1 cycle 2 of gem carbo yesterday after missing 3 lots because of pneumonia. My bloods had read fine so oncologist advised to restart. I had 2 anti sickness tablets and 10 steroids first. They started carbo infusion and I was fine at first

Valproate: new safety and educational materials to support regulatory measures in men and women under 55 years of age
I don't think there is any reason to expect many members to be taking any form of Valproate, but this is such an important issue, with such significant consequences, I've decided to post it anyway. Even if you are not taking it, someone you know might be. [i]

Steroids, statins, strange query
I was put on 80mg Atvostatin mid Aug following a TIA/Afib episode and diagnosis. From mid September I started to suffer an intermittent throbbing, burning pain on the ball of my foot and last three toes. It comes on suddenly such as during the short 1 mile walk I’ve just completed. Bloods in Sept showed

Nasal / Sinus problems and Bad Smell?
I just wanted to ask about this, as had pain in the nose/cold only on the right side, (which has since gone) all round the eyes, and top of the nose, which I am guessing is Sinusitis? The odd thing is, is that all I can smell is what can only be described as 'cow sh*t' whenever I blow my nose, or sometimes

Upcoming hospital appointment
I was diagnosed with a 25mm AN last October. It totally came out of the blue. I'd been suffering from Long Covid for over a year and I started to have dizziness and body veer to the left when walking. I was also struggling with being in a room where multiple conversations were happening, as I couldn't

Ophthalmologist Visit
I just wanted to report on the exam by the ophthalmologist today. He said everything looks good. Optic nerve looks fine. He agreed (with all of you!) that my visual disturbances are caused by the steroids. He recommended I talk to my optometrist about prism lenses that will help to correct the double

Covid vaccine
this morning I paid for a Covid vaccine £65. I was given the Novavax. Excellent service, not far to travel but annoying that I was not given it on the NHS as live with someone who is clinically extremely vulnerable.
