First time COVID

I got really poorly on the 7th September last year, I phoned the doctors and they wouldn't see me at all, don't really blame them, they are under so much strain.I phoned 111 and when I told them me my illnesses, they wanted to send an ambulance, three different people I talked to all wanted to send an ambulance, but I refused, as my partner was working, I had fond her she was on her way home, on the third attempt to send me a ambulance my partner came home, so I told the lady on 111 that she would bring me up.

When we arrived I was in a bit of a state and put straight into resus, I was then told I was COVID positive, this had attached my bronchitis and caused pneumonia and sepsis.

after a short while I was blue lighted to pinderfields hospital and put into ICU, spent a week there on medication, untill I actually cried to go home, my partner, stayed with me every day 10 hours a day, I was 2 weeks unable to get out of bed, luckily I had a fantastic nurse, 'my partner ' to look after me.

This is a warning to anyone who is suceptable to COVID, do not go anywhere near spa's, this is where I certainly caught it.

I was lucky, the doctor in hospital said to my partner, if David wouldn't have got here when he did, we would have been having a different conversation to what they were having.

Everyone staying safe, COVID as not gone away as some fools believe.

I'm glad your story has had a happy ending .It must have been pretty awful at times. Bless your partner for looking after you. Thanks for the warning- I really didn't think you could get covid so badly if you had had all the jabs.

I am so pleased you pulled through what sounds to have been such a scary time. What a wonderful partner you have!

I still hardly go anywhere and am very wary about the people who enter my home. Thank you for sharing your story with your very relevant warning. I hope you are fully recovered now xx

Thank you everyone, I just put this on to make ppl aware, I have not let it stop me going out at all, still shop, and go around town, just never go to a spa again, I only did it for my partners birthday. But not letting COVID stop me from doing things.Hope you all take care and stay safe.
