it’s been a rough six months.

I’m tired of winning the sickness lottery. I swear it’s been one thing after another for five months. Bad cold, chronic inflammation of my eyes (non-ms) which caused sores on my right eye, Covid, extreme vertigo that returned me to the ER, another cold and now shingles. Fortunately the shingles aren’t bad, no pain, but the diarrhea from the medicine is killing me. Catch 22– if I eat I can’t keep it down, if I don’t eat I’m nearly passing out. Three more days of pills to go!!

I guess I should be grateful. Through all of that my MS has stayed stable other than an increase in spasticity.

The previous six months saw pneumonia and severe asthma attacks that landed me in the ER twice. I was hoping 2024 would give me a fresh start. Not yet.

I need a break. My body is tired. I have the most supportive husband and son in the world though! I’m blessed!

Wow, Stacy, I'm so sorry to hear that. I believe you are at the bottom of the barrel but you have no other way to go but up. Your sunny days are ahead of you. You go girl! Looking at the blessings you have not the effing problems. That awesome husband and son. I’m so happy you have them however, give yourself a break. A few months ago I was feeling like I’d never crawl out of my hole. I’m out. All will be well, or it won’t. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m tired. My MS is mostly increased spasticity and fatigue. But the shingles med is killing my gut. And for some odd reason I’m very cold. Hopefullly I’m back to normal soon.

Normal would be nice. Truly would love to say something helpful. Is it the kind of cold that feels like it’s radiating out from your bones? Occasionally, I have that and I get into a mummy sleeping blanket with a large heating pad. Helps a tad. 🫧

Yes! That the cold. Heavy blankets and soaking in the tub helps.

The tub and I didn’t get along very well in the past. Maybe, as a last ditch effort I could try it. Happened to move in with my Mom and I have a big tub in my bathroom just sitting there. I’ll update you if I try it next time I’m becoming an icicle from inside out.

Replying to you StacyHayward through replying to myself (am I though?🤦🏻‍♀️) because wanted to expand on the word “lately”. That seems to imply it’s been awhile. You wrote post 2 days ago however, sometimes 2 days feels like…well, you know, 2 ♾️. Those seconds of pain or sickness or fear or sadness tick much slower. Just sayin’. 🤷🏻‍♀️

True! Everything always feels worse in the moment. Then you look back and think that wasn’t so bad. Why was I complaining?

I actually don’t look back and think that wasn’t so bad. I remember the agony and pray it doesn’t return, knowing it will. I try not to complain because it does absolutely nothing except irritate people.

Amen! My Creator is always with me guiding me through. All I had to do was ask. I really do pray throughout the day and remember to be thankful for my many blessings. Hope today is a good day for you! May peace be with you. 🫧🙏🏼✌️🌎
