Cough, Cough, Cough
My daughter was diagnosed with Asthma around 2 years ago, however her symptons are coughing and not wheezing. Her Asthma is worse in winter as her trigger is having a cold, the problem is she seems to get more colds than most! During January/February we had around 5 weeks of colds, one after the other

colds and pf
Just started with a cold and my pf has dropped to 70%, is that normal or suggestive of an impending chest infection. I have a silly tickly cough but don't feel too tight or SOB.

My own experiences, treatment regime and results (this is a long one)
Having had virtually all the symptoms for APS and with nightly injections of Heparin relieving the symptoms you would have thought that I would have been diagnosed with APS by the experts! But no. My anti-cardiolipin test came back at 35 which is 31 over the limit for a positive, however because this

Reducing Ventolin after a cold
My 3 year old twins both have asthma and we have been told when they have coughs / colds to use 4 hourly ventolin, 4 puffs. This seems to work really well for them, and has so far resulted in reduced chest infections and better control of their asthma. The problem is i'm not entirely sure when to reduce

Asthma & Colds
Hi all, I'm looking for some help. My 3yr old son has Asthma and every time he gets a cold his coughing at night is out of control. Is there anything he could take to control or ease the coughing? His ventolin isn't helping any. Thanks Stephanie

Common Cold
Hi all Has anybody got any suggestions on what they do to deal with the common colds as I am trying to find alternatives to paracetomol and decongestants which I think might be giving me a problem during the cold/sinus infection that I am just getting over. I visited the doctor who gave me amoxcillin

Colds and a lot of them!
Us asthmatics, are we more prone to colds? I have adult onset asthma and since diagnoses I get an obscene amount of colds despite eating well, taking vits etc. I swear I get more colds in my thirties compared to when I was a child! Surely this should be the other way around.

cold sore, mouth ulcers, boils and thrush.
Anybody else bothered with any of these - I seem to be going round in 'square' circles with them and the never ending anti-biotics don't help with the SLE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone had a spinal fusion operation?
I have to have a spinal fusion op of the lumbar region. I'm looking for any info on how to cope when coming out of hospital - showering, laying in bed, how active are you. Anything would be appreciated.

Belfast: its part in my downfall
I love a Belfast Fry - or I did until I went back to being a vegetarian. Somehow, a plate of eggs, beans and hash browns with a dried-up soya sausage and a heap of brown lumps formerly-known-as-mushrooms isn't quite the same. But enough of my yelping, what's Belfast got to do with Rheumatoid Arthritis

Anyone had spinal fusion?
I am going to have a spinal fusion operation (only a couple of vertebrae) and I would love to hear from anyone who has had this op. As I live on my own I am wondering how I will manage. How mobile will I be? How long before I am able to get out and about? Is there a time limit on not
