I have had a couple of Blue Horizon tests. Thought I’d try a medi checks test and pay for RT3. Interesting. Although for some reason they don’t think I have Hashimoto’s which makes me doubt ALL of their results because every other test says I have ! I would be grateful for comments. I am having another

Flu and Colds
Before my wife was diagnosed with PMR 22 months ago, she used to be the strong one in our household as far as the flu and colds. My sons and I would get each other's viruses and she would not even be fazed. In the past year, though, she has had very frequent colds and the flu. I have not read too

The Good and Bad
Bit of a long post... My dad has had Parkinsons for several years now, started with a left hand tremor which has progressed to slow movement, some shuffling (though not as bad as some), and stiffness. The neurologist has had him on Pramipexole, Rasagaline, and Kemadrin for the last few years. Unfortunately

GPA and lower back muscle spasms
I was diagnosed with Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis (GPA) Last August and had 3 high doses of steroids and 3 lots of Cyclophosmahide at 3 week intervals, the result was not as good as rheumatologist had hoped for and she is referring me to a specialist clinic in Southampton, in the meantime my steroids

My "Osteoporosis" Journey
This is just copy and paste of an account I wrote to keep track of things for myself. Please note I have no medical training and I haven't checked to see if the web links at the end still work. I think most will. Adding June 2024: Importance of Vitamin C in collagen formation. Here is an article which

What a day
Hi all, well what a nightmare day today. Work was very busy today and stupidly I helped a little more than I should, lifted a box I would have had no problem with 6 months ago. Ended up sat in the office for 3 hours gasping for air, inhalers did nothing and the panic did not help in the slightest. Frightened

Purple rash/blotches
I've had enough of this Methotrexate poison. Stopped taking the tabs and started with the metoject pen instead but now the thought of doing the jabs is making me feel as sick as I felt with the tabs. I can't stand it any longer. I'd rather be in pain than feel sick. I don't want to take anything. Not

Eosiniphilic asthma and colds
Not sure whether it is my eosiniphilic asthma or the prednisolone but I am constantly fighting coughs and colds - taking supplements makes no difference- as soon as one goes I get another. Anyone else like this?

Day 7 of anti inflammatory... some changes...
Hello everyone, I thought I had better drop in and say that this is now day 7 of the anti inflammatory diet and I'm due on period in the coming 4-5 days. This last Monday by breast pain was AWFUL. and now I would say, since Monday on this diet the breast pain is 60% easier! So, something I've cut out

Using carbonated drinks to take Sinemet.
When I was recovering from back surgery, spinal fusion to fix sciatica pain I had down both legs, I was introduced to the idea of using ginger ale when I take Sinemet. I was at Medstar Georgetown University hospital and was visited by a doctor and a few students. It seemed to work faster. On top of that

New to CMT
After two years bouncing from 1doctor/specialist my primary care doctor sent me to the University of Florida. There a wonderful neurologist quickly diagnosed me with CMT. That was my beginning of knowing what I was dealing with. I have been bed-ridden for over 2 years using a walker or wheel chair. A
