With FM, Does anyone else have days where you feel like you have a cold, sore throat, headache, sinus pain and burning???
HI REBECCAH - YES - I SOMETIMES GET A SORE THROAT AND MY LEGS
FEEL LIKE I HAVE SUNBURN - I UNDERSTAND IT'S BECAUSE OF THE
INFLAMATION OF THE NERVE ENDINGS - I KNOW IT SOUNDS AWFUL BUT
I FEEL REALLY GLAD WHEN THE COLDER WEATHER COMES. IT'S SO MUCH
MORE COMFORTABLE. HOPE IT'S NOT TOO BAD FORYOU - AT LEAST YOU
KNOW THAT OTHERS FEEL THESE SYMTOMS TOO.

Hi Lady .. Thank you for replying, glad im not the only one who gets a sore throat. Today i ache everywhere and feel like a ive got a cold, got a terrible sore throat but had this last week and within two days it went away. Im the same with the hot weather i get so uncomfortable i get a lot of swelling and pain. I cant wait for it to be cooler as i wont suffer as much. Its nice to know others know how i feel and im not the only one.

It's not the same for me hot or cold weather makes no difference to the pain
Change of weather does, windy to cold to hot
Lots of headaches and pain in neck no problem with sinus
Just shows how different we are with almost the same,

Today just seems to be worse with the sore throats, think because im having a bad flare up i generally feel more unwell.
I also get alot of neck pain and i also get terrible backache.
True about how different we are with almost the same. Some people have different or more intense symptoms.

Iam having a flare up at mow ,had pain all over, a bad head,flue like sims and bad burning Ive cryed all weekend as iam in a ,lot of pain killes, so don,t understand why the pain can get so bad but yes all diff but the same....will tomorrow another day

Im sorry your having a horrible time at the moment, know how your feeling tho as im having a bad flare up. If only there was a painkiller that took all the pain away. We cant make the pain go away but knowing theres people who understand and are going through the same we can help each other through it
Hi Rebeccah. Yes I have flu like symptoms a lot, with this I know I`m going to have a flare up. Winter time is always worse for me, my body dosnt like the cold dark cloudy weather. I`m better when the sun shines a little bit. Just dread the winter time! Have you had your Vit D tested by your Doc? Its worth having done! As this can make the pain worse if your levels are low! Ann x
Yep all the time! I don't mean this the way it sounds, but I am glad it's not just me...it's. Hard sent it, cos nothing really relieves it, or if minor relief achieved.. It's never for long.

I have Nasonex that I take every day for for chronic sinusitis (I hate that hideous post-nasal drip I get with it - yuck!). Saw my GP the other week as I was getting p**d off with what feels like a constant sore throat & sometimes difficulty in swallowing but there was nothing to see, though she did say it may need a referral to ENT if it continues. I got some antiseptic/anesthetic rinse/gargle which helps a wee bit when it's really rough (came in handy when I ate something extremely hot and ended up with a huge blister!).
Sitting here with a stinking headache, mainly sinus related but aggravated by bright light coming in south facing window and a hubby who keeps turning the volume up on the telly while watching a programme about the Falklands which has some of his oppos in it - wish he'd put his hearing aid in!
I had a lot of problems with my sinus i was refer to ENT and i ended up having an operation to clear it but was told the op wouldnt last, and its now playing up. Know what that post nasal drip is like, not nice.
Sorry to hear you got a bad headache, i had a nasty headache few days ago and my other half did the same with the tv so i threw a shoe at him he soon turned it down lol.
Hi - yes often think i am going down with a cold and go through aill the symptoms leading up and then i reailise tht it's the fibro making another come baack show. AIt the moment my fbro is running riot as my father died a fortnight aigo and i find any stress just lets the fibro run amock. The funeral isn't until a week tomorrow so i'm trying to drag myslef through each day untiI then 
I fnd i react to hot muggy weather and wet/cold weather but take ne to ai dry warm heat and it aill calms down ! Now all i need to do is fnd that elusive place and amke sure thait none of my other stressors knows where i am , then maybe things would really improve.at least for a while. muchly dottii xx .

Its a horrible feeling like you have always got a cold, its not nice and along with all the pain makes it hard to deal with.
Im so sorry to hear about your dad cant imagin what you must be going through.I found it very hard to deal with things when my nan died who was like a second mum to me. Stress plays a big part in my fm as well. Hot muggy weather i hate as i swell up and get loads of pain, when its nice and cool i dont feel as bad. I find the more i do or if i have a day out the pain i feel the next day is unbearable. xx
Interesting that so many of us have chronic sinusitis, keep getting sent to ENT, had scans and they can find nothing. The awful taste in my mouth is the worst part of it.
I thought it was just me with the sinus, again sounds awful but im glad im not the only one as i sometimes get the feeling that doctors think the sore throats and sinus pain is in my head, when i know its not. I also get a horrible taste in my mouth im constantly eatting chewing gum or brushing my teeth to get rid of the taste.
I always get a funny 'smell'... like stale cigarettes (I don't smoke).
I can't do stress anymore either...yet once upon a time I could handle it all...
I'm sorry to hear about your father dying Dotti, i do hope things gradually ease for you and you can manage to 'keep your head down' whilst all is so hectic.

I also have suffered with the sinus problems. I thought it must've been from hayfever.. but after many years.. realized it is part of the fibro too. Along with the sore throat, headaches, earaches, and burning ears and face. One side of my face will swell up and ache like a 'you know what'. My god.. these times are to the unbearable. Once I get the face pain, it usually means i'm in for a big flare up. And yep.. got face pain the other day, and now experiencing a huge amount of pain all over, with all the burning and stinging, cutting like sensations etc... damn thing.
I gargle with warm salt water, and sometimes put some in a nasal spray bottle to do it up my nose for the sinus area's. Helps heaps. Honestly, the warm salty water i have found the best for nose and throat gargle. Just gotta do it a few times a day.
My head buzzes constantly, just at different pitches. Tinitus i think. Also part of the fibro symptoms i found.

I have found that if I take Organic Reds and Greens (in powder form) everyday... I tend to feel a bit better. I know it can get monotonous with all the pills etc we have to take everyday... I can get pee'd off with it, and just not take it, or the extra herbals too. But... This is such a MUST. I try everyday to take them, and the powder. It does help.. especially with the fatigue and cold symptoms. Not saying it takes it away altogether.. but, it does make a noticeable difference.
