Have you run with cold??
I am to run my RfL on 14th and was looking forward to do another Park Run tomorrow and I have caught a cold! I ate 2 fruits and had a Lemsip and Vitamin C and the time is only 11.21am! I don't feel all that good and quite anxious whether this cold would get worse. I suffered from a bad cold and a cough

VITAMIN D AND ASTHMA
I treated myself to a packet of jelly babies(as recommended on this site) and Hello magazine. There was an article in Hello about the effect of a high level of Vitamin D and better asthma control. I think someone else has mentioned this before. We need some sunshine...I take cod liver oil capsules

I have been to the Doc's with what I thought was a throat infection but I was wrong, the symptoms are a tight constricted throat with the feeling of a lump and shortness of breath, my friend suggested it may be anxiety which is more than likely. how to avoid colds/viruses?!?
I know its a bit of an impossible question, its just its become very apparent that my biggest triggers are colds and viruses. My asthma is reasonably well controlled, but the minute I have a cold or virus my asthma spirals downhill, my peak flow drops, I wake at night, have symptoms most of the day and

A question about cod liver oil.
I have for many years taken one cod liver oil capsule per day hoping that it may help keep my joints working better. The doctors I have seen are all happy with this, even though some may not be convinced that there is much benefit. As it is a fatty acid I wonder whether it may increase the very long

RHEUMATIOD DISEASE......
Hello all, there was a bit of a rant yesterday about a subject that we all know about and have experienced. How many times have you been asked what you have only to be told "I have that too". Or what about "yes my granny has sore knees too". My favourite is "sure we all have a bit of that somewhere

Low body temperature and constant colds
I've always felt the cold a lot more than my friends, but lately noticing it more. Testing my temperature more often it seems my 'normal' (average) body temperature is 36 degrees, so slightly lower than it should be. My resistance to colds is zero and I often feel shivery. Yesterday my temperature went

But their arguments were backed up by some serious

CAN ANAEMIA CONTRIBUTE TO BREATHLESSNESS IN SIGNIFICANT WAY?
Watching a wildlife programme a few days ago I saw a report that seals/sea lions can stay underwater up to 45 minutes due to the rich haemoglobin levels in their blood. I have always had a tendency towards anaemia, and have severe COPD, so I wondered if taking iron tablets could help the condition?
