Hello :)
I've spent ages reading the forums - didnt realise they existed until recently! I've been looking for experiences with Xolair, as I have my outpatient appointment at Papworth tomorrow and want to ask them if they will consider it for me. I have severe asthma, with allergies - which I may cope with

The 'black dog' is finally lifting and I am gradually getting back to normal thank goodness.
Its never lasted so long before or been so bad for ages - over 2 weeks. I cant talk or type or speak to people when its on. I just feel like a big inert lump who just stares mindlessly at the telly and sleeps a lot. I did force myself out some but speaking and putting on a happy face was exhausting

New and worried
Hi, I was recently diagnosed with this condition but have not had (thank God) any clots, miscarriages etc. I was diagnosed after having very strange symptoms following a very stressful divorce a couple of years ago which lasted 2-3 years. After frequent visits to the consultant they finally came up

Stupid or not?
I may be stupid and that is one answer but if i am not then someone may have the answer for me. Either way i get a result. I had a heart attack followed by a quad bypass(during which i suffered cardiac arrest) and was found to have FH. My current total chol is 4.5. I had been taking medication(Bisoprolol

As some of you may know i have been asked by guys hospital if i would do a drugs trial for an inhaler specifically for use with COPD. Having looked at all the info about it ( don't know what the drug is because you are not allowed for fear of influencing the result, but know it is a inhalant and

The morning after the day before
Yesterday was Wk 1 Day 1. Been preparing with loads of power walking, losing weight, but still got out of bed and thought: Hello calves, didn't expect that. But overall feeling good. I'm half way on my weight loss journey but still have another 1st 6lbs to go. The monkey I've got to get off

Can anyone suggest a good supplement to help with general joint stiffness?
Already take cod liver oil but just wondered if anyone had any other recommendations.

Vitamin D deficiency
There have been several articles in the last few days mentioning the concerns of increasing numbers of people especially children that are feared will present with vitamin D deficiency in the coming months. Has anyone had rls change to something else?
I had painful rls all my life, i then had spinal surgery and was prescribed tramadole for pain relief. Since then my rls has completely stopped but has been replaced by myoclonus jerks and a lot of random limb movement during times of rest and sleep. The tramadole is the only thing that keeps me still

question about biphosphonates
when my mother takes her biphosphonate medication it makes her really unwell. She has been advised she needs to take this medication as the prednisolone increases her risk of osteoporosis, even more important for her as she had major spinal surgery last year. Please can you advise if you are aware

Colds
Hi all fairly new to this I was diagnosed in September following a severe attack. since then whenever I get a cold my symptoms flare up terribly and I experience wheezing, coughing etc and I don't seem to be able to get through the cold without at least 1 course of steroids. Do others get like this?
