how to deal with a cold
from a handy website Adults average two to four colds a year, and the typical upper respiratory infection takes up to 10 days to get over. But that first sniffle, throat tickle, or cough doesn’t have to be all doom and gloom. ....there are other cold-fighting heroes out there, too. 1. Pop zinc

So confused can anyone help?
I am a 62 year old widow who was told she had C.O.P.D December 2011. I don't know if it is mild, but take it it must be as I wasn't given any other information. I have had an appointment sent out to me for yearly check up but don't know what questions to ask. I was given Tiotropium and Ventolin and

endo/adhesions in lower back?
Wondering if anyone has ever developed endo or adhesions in the lower back? My back pain started a few months before my first lap but my GP said it was just my joints and to take some cod-liver oil. Ever since my lap the pain in my back can get really bad sometimes. It's my lower back, right in the middle

AIR QUALITY in Britain - does this exacerbate our breathing problems ?
Have just returned from my usual visit to Sicily - this time for Christmass, blue skies, warm sunshine tea shirts and shorts , and THAT AIR - clear as a bell, within an hour I put all my inhaylers away and barely used them for nearly two weeks. Within 20 minuets of returning to Gatwick Airport and

Cold sores (Herpes virus) children immune suppressed
Hi My 4 year old was born with Biliary Atresia . He had the Kasai at 12 weeks and then had a transplant at 10 months old. At the moment he is getting a lot of cold sores. Each time we need to put him on a 5 day course of Aciclovir. When his brother gets cold sores he still needs to go on Aciclovir

Spinal fusion????
HI i had a 70% L4/L5 discectomy 5 years ago and was told i would more than likely need a fusion in time, well that may be now as MRI shows problem with remaining disc and a trapped nerve that is causing constant pain any way i'm enquiring if any one else has gone through this and how the fibro is affected

IF YOU CAN ?
Ir you can start the day without caffeine, If you can be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains, If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles , If you can eat the same food every day and be grateful for it, If you can understand when your loved one are too busy to give you any time

Lost a very important body part today!
Been in limbo for 24 hours, was I going to get a bed at RBH or not, slept fitfully, up at ten to six, walking Lottie Dog at seven. Not something I usually do so early, but feeling hot and flustered thought a gentle walk would be calming, which it was. Lottie has a new nickname, "Pork Scratching," and

Newly diagnosed..!
After spending the last twenty years following building work all over the country, I have never had a regular doctor I always used the walk in centres wherever I happened to be, eight months ago I collapsed at work gasping for breath so decided it was time to register with a doctor. Two months later
