What meds. are okay to take with Copd?
I know I have posted about the bad affects of antidepressants. However, I also know that I need something to help me have a better outlook these days. I have heard Celexa is bad, and that is what I currently take. :o It helps me some, but I heard/read it's bad with all of our breathing issues, and

Is surgery good news?
So at last I have been referred for surgery....the Referral was going to take forever on the NHS so I begged, borrowed and stole to raise £295 to see a private consultant. My appointment was ONE HOUR long! Definitely worth the money for the peace of mind and confidence that he gave me. A week later I

Starting the Marty Hinz Amino Acid Protocol. New Dr.
Drove 2 hrs to see the new Dr today. It was well worth it. Finally a doctor that speaks our language, if you know what I mean. He has several patients on the amino acid protocol and they are having success with it. Very encouraging. All were worse than me when they started (my UPDRS is 33 on my worst

Coughing
I have been coughing for no apparent reason for 8 months. I have finally attributed it to my bio-identical hormones which I have been taking for about 20 years. I have completely stopped taking my estrogen, dhea, testosterone and Progesterone. The cough has pretty much stopped. I was also on NTD 130

The Ambulatory club-Delivery day
Hooray, after a 10 day delay because respiratory nurse forgot to send in Hoof form, the official club cylinders have been delivered. The nice young man from Air Liquide proudly advised me that it was his last day of service with the company and he was leaving to be a self employed electrician.Great thought

What helps me during flares...
I thought I'd take this opportunity to share what helps me with this community. When I have a bad canker sore outbreak there are usually 2-4 directly on my tonsils. Tonsillitis is essentially inflammation and irritation so I think I get that too on top of a flare. When I get mouth ulcers like that..

Cold sore leading to genital herpes?
I've recently discovered that I have a cold sore on my lip which I thought was a spot. I've had cold sores before, not very often, however this one didn't come up as mine usually do, it felt more like a spot. During the time it's been on my lip I've kissed, had sex and oral sex with my partner as I didn't

ESA stopped help, can they make me have a wheelchair!?
Hi , I have been denied ESA as they gave me 0 points on being able to mobilise more than 200 meters because the decision maker has decide that a wheelchair could be obtained through the nhs wheelchair service if required and the use of a wheelchair would enable me to mobilise more than 200 meters.

Just saying Hello
It's been a while since I've posted. Just wanted to say hello! It's been 3 months since my COPD diagnosis. My first and so far only exacerbation lasted a while. My doctor changed some meds. I have a new inhaler Anoro Ellipta that seems to work amazingly. He also prescribed Montelukast Sodium. Still doing
