Managed to lose 1 and half stone last year following the 12 week plan and started to feel good about myself but I had been struggling to exercise due to sciatica. ..I have since had spinal surgery in January this year and put all my weight back on and more! just gone back to work but my right knee has gone now and I am struggling to walk about...I am getting so down with it all...I dont know where to start?
Unable to do anything!! HELP!!
My weight has now plummeted to 14 stones 2 and for my height of 5 ft 1..... I desperately need to lose at least 6 stones!!
I also have a heatus hernia which seems to erupt with anything I eat.....any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated..

I can understand you getting down with all that going on but you have made the right move by coming on the forum and there is a lot of support for your here. I too have an hernia and 2 total knee replacements and have found losing 5 stone as helped with both.

Thank you Rose....Wow! Well done for losing 5 stones...you must feel like a million dollars and its great to hear that your knees feel better too...I am starting today and I will follow the planner and try gentle treading of water in the pool to get myself going hopefully...
Hi Tuboflard
Don't panic, exercise is not all about losing weight
Healthy eating and calorie counting work, check your bmi on the nhs bmi calculator, this will give you a generous allowance.
The hiatus hernia can be controlled with tablets, ask your doctor about this, also avoiding onions, garlic, tomato based sauces, pastry and dough makes a difference, and of course losing weight
As for exercise how about swimming or aqua aerobics this would be less stress on your joints.
I also put on a lot of weight after an operation last year and at 5" 2' and 16 stone 9 pounds I know exactly where you are coming from, but you can lose this weight, it may take a while but it can be done 💪 stay active on the forum it really does make a difference, join in the challenges, join a weigh in, the daily diary is fantastic for help, support and ideas
Thank you Kat for the kind advice...I will get my 12 week plan out and start going to the baths. Although I am not allowed to swim I can't tread water to exercise my joints. ..fingers crossed I will have lost when I weigh in next Sunday...just been on scales..14 stones 3...Ouch!!!
