Coughing

I have been coughing for no apparent reason for 8 months. I have finally attributed it to my bio-identical hormones which I have been taking for about 20 years. I have completely stopped taking my estrogen, dhea, testosterone and Progesterone. The cough has pretty much stopped.

I was also on NTD 130 mgs and T3 50 mcgs. I am hypothyroid. I suddenly started having chest and stomach pains. My heart was beating very fast and I could feel it in my stomach. Then I became hyper, could hardly sit still. So I stopped my T3 over a few days. It seemed every time I took a T3 my chest would hurt. I also cut my NTD in half and am taking it twice a day. It's been several days since I started my new regime and I feel almost normal!

This morning I took 5 mcg of Logul's 5mcg iodine. That's one drop. Yes I tested it first and I was at 35 and ideally one should be around 90.

I am taking vitamin a,b,c,d, selenium, multivitamin, salt water twice a day, minerals, cod liver oil and a few other things.

I think I had overdosed and didn't realize it. Much better now. My doctor knows very little about thyroid disease or hormones. I was trying to follow the protocol in STTM.

I m not asking any questions, but simply sharing my story. Everyone here has tried to help me, but nothing seemed to work. I think it was the hormones that seemed to skew the results. Anyway thank you everyone for taking the time to try and help me.

I cough a lot due to gerd. The acid apparently upsets the Vagus nerve.

When I eliminated the sugar in my diet, my acid reflux went away. I still get it if I go off my regular regime.

I think that stopping your HRT hormones made your thyroid ones work better.

I ignored a slight ache in my side for several months until one day it suddenly became severe, necessitating a trip by ambulance to A&E.

Tests showed it to be Kidney cancer. If I had left it much longer, it could have spread to other organs and killed me.

Perhaps the cough is nothing to do with any other problem you already know about. You need to get it sorted out. Go see your doctor.

I did. She x-rayed my throat and took a swab test and found nothing. I find when I try to take a small dose of iodine (5mgs) this also makes me cough.
