Skullcap for RLS
I have idiopathic RLS and
SIBO
and have tried just about everything I could over the last 35 years. It was quite normal for me to average 3hrs of sleep per night, so I find the treatment remarkable to say the least.

Currently I am waiting for my private endo (who is also overseeing my apparent gastrointestinal problems) to get back to me as far as antibiotics and instructions on how to get rid of the

SIBO/bacterial overgrowth
Anyone else dealing with
sibo
as the possible reason for low b12. I had a test done and it found high levels of bad bacteria in my digestive system. Not sure it’s
sibo
but that’s what doc thinks.

My SIBO and ibs
He’s going to do another breath test to see if my
SIBO
has gone. See I started probiotics and seen to have got much worse. I really wanted to call ambulance this morning but they would only give me pain relief and send me home to wait till I see the gastroenterologist face to face in 6 weeks.

SIBO and Antibiotics
I have been seeing a Gastro consultant who is almost certain that I am suffering from
SIBO
. I really struggle to tolerate any oral antibiotics. I have tried Rifaximin, ciprofloxacin ,vancomycin and Doxycycline and have not been able to take any them for any more than 2 days.

Cloudy stool? Big discharges of mucous?
We wonder if anyone here had the same symptoms, because we can't figure out if this is related with UC or IBS/
SIBO
. We are waiting for the results of a stool test, but I would like to have more information while waiting. Thanks!

At times
SIBO

Stopping oral supplements before blood tests
Assuming I don't have PA and the B12 is not being guzzled by
SIBO
, anyone want to hazard a guess as to what they might have climbed to? I haven't had any of the PA tests (GP says the labs would refuse to do them on a reading of 201 ng/L).

Elemental Diet
Hi folks, my gastroenterologist has suggested the elemental diet as a way to allow my gut to rest and reset and potentially to address stubborn
SIBO
too. This is a purely shake based diet for 2 weeks (no food or alcohol allowed!).

Severe iodine deficiency & Hashimoto's
I also developed
SIBO
and extreme histamine intolerance during this time from my body being so slowed down. On May 1 I was trying to pick up some groceries and felt so horrible that I just started sobbing, right there in the store, because I had ALL I could take of feeling so horrible for so long.

Which antibiotic was prescribed for bacterial overgrowth / dysbiosis / SIBO / IMO and did it have lasting effects?
Hi, I've almost finished my 28 day course of antibiotics (rifaximin) but without a noticeable positive effect on my symptoms till now. There are some alternatives to try (neomycin, augmentin, ciprofloxacin, metronidazole , norfloxacin, etc.) and I am curious which one you have had and if it had lasting
