SIBO test, treatment, and Covid booster
After dealing with liquid stools, bloating and weight loss for months, I'm finally getting tested for
SIBO
on Wednesday and then, assuming I'm positive since all the other tests were negative, starting the antibiotic protocol (Rifaximin).

Update on my health
One last thing that I did (after lengthy discussions with my rheumatologist- who believes that a lot of inflammatory conditions are linked with gut issues) was take a course of antibiotics for
SIBO
- small intestine bacterial overgrowth- which helped greatly too. So that’s it for me.

I’ve been diagnosed with

Flare up relief
When I’m having a flare up of my ibs/
SIBO
of nausea, a bloated gurgling stomach is there anything anyone can suggest I take to relieve these symptoms they can go on all day into the night I can’t eat or sleep. Surely there must be something I can take.

Does anyone have any experience with SIBO?
I am waiting for a laparoscopy to see if I can have Endo, in the meantime I have taken a
SIBO
test (did some research and found that a lot of women with endo/ IBS have
SIBO
) with a company online and tested positive, I tried the prescribed diet and supplements but haven't found an enormous amount of

SIBO TEST
I am waiting for an appointment for a
SIBO
test. Gastroenterologist said if is positive it is easy to treat with 2 kinds of antibiotics. Why don't they just prescribe then and see if they help.🤔

Tests for Malabsorption?
I have had my appendix removed, eating disorder history, ppi & laxative history, b12 issue (improvement with b12 injections), ibs diagnosis (given by dr, but haven't had many tests done),
sibo
diagnosis from naturopath (but gastro seemed to think this is a fad for naturopaths to diagnose this).

Bloating and Snacking
My main problem is bloating, all day every day, I am on PPI’s as I have a Hiatus Hernia so think I probably have
SIBO
as this is common in people who take PPI’s.

Tingling, hot feet
I’ve developed numb, tingling hot feet - is this a common feature of RA ( 5years since diagnosis) This is also coinciding with relapse of
SIBO
symptoms. How do others deal with these foot symptoms - it’s disturbing. Regular RA review clinic (in London) are not happening. Diana

SIBO and Yakult
After reading an article/study I have been taking Yakult now for over 4 weeks for what I thought might be
SIBO
(diarrhoea for many years which made me feel quite weak - colonoscopy revealed nothing).
