Can diet cause SIBO?
I saw one website say diet can cause
SIBO
, however most suggest diet (such as low FODMAP) is a symptom management thing and not a potential cause. So can diet cause
SIBO
? Because I do enjoy sugary foods, so if this can cause
SIBO
, seems like the most likely explanation...

Sibo diagnosis?
Phoned GP to ask about
sibo
test to be told not available on nhs. He's hopefully getting a referral to gastroenterology.
Sibo
seems highly likely in everything we've read compared to his symptoms so we'd like to get him tested. Do we need a referral to get a private test?

Hydrogen Sulphide gas and gastro doctors
Anyone got any experience with
SIBO
and hydrogen sulphide gas (probably more people in US) as there is a test for it there.

SIBO and fevers
Does
SIBO
causes fevers or is that an unrelated symptom? I had low grade fevers (up to 38.4C) for about a year coinciding with food allergy symptoms. Never found out the cause and i've been discharged now.

Esomeprazole and metoclopramide
I was on a 2 week cause of Ciproflaxacin for
Sibo
too. I abandoned both and carried on with the Ciproflaxacin which that and the paracetamols for my leg made me constipated but felt ok.

Having been screened and cleared for obvious causes I have seen an NHS Consultant who says I am positive for
SIBO
. I have tried to work with low fodmap diet previously but without much success.

Help with vitamins
Since being diagnosed with Hypothyroidism, Coeliac and
SIBO
they were steadily going up - I got my ferritin from 2 to 75, but in the last year it’s gone down to 39. My B12 is at 318 and was almost 500 a year ago. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this and how to get my levels up?

SIBO and Bill Bulsiewicz
At the risk of advertising, I always think Bill has some good stuff to say relevant to IBS. This just 'dropped'. https://youtu.be/48oZZEAvqFM?feature=shared

Can sibo cause bloody stools
Was wondering how to get tested for
sibo
and if this can cause really excessive wind that is extremely bad smelling, noisy stomach upon eating dairy and bloody stools with alot of bloating in the stomach. Also does it cause a high calprotectin result.Any advice will be most appreciated.

Atopic eczema
I was diagnosed with IBS C and then
SIBO
but I do not have slow transit of food from my stomach (imaging using isotope). I try to keep with low FODMAP diet and recently seem to be managing a little better - haven’t used docusate laxative for maybe 6 weeks.

NHS gastro says SIBO
this week a gastroenterologist confirmed I have
SIBO
. I have previously had biopsies and other causes of my extreme discomfort have been ruled out - I’m basically healthy.

Any positive experience with antibiotics for IBS
Is it
SIBO
? I'm using Foodmarble AIRE2 (breath test) and the results are varied e.g. in the morning when I'm full of gas I get low readings i.e. not consistent with
SIBO
. I tried Metronidazole for a few days but felt worse.

B12 Injections
I have
sibo
and gastritis. My b12 and folate were checked and my folate came back at 2.7 which is low. My b12 however looked ok at around 500. I began to supplement with folinic acid (800mcg) and sublingual hydroxocobalamin but didn’t notice any effects really.
