SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth) Anybody else?
Apparently sugars feed bad bacteria and cause them to multiply and neutralise the good bacteria causing
SIBO
. I have been taking a strong probiotic tablet in the morning (not a probiotic drink) and cutting down on my sugars and it's like a miracle.

Strange but true, my story so far...................
On my return to see the Gastro he agreed for me to have the Lactose test and also be tested for a
SIBO
, these tests were done and both came back negative, my Lactose test reached level 3 to which the nurse advised they would have continued with the test even if it had started at that.

What is anyone's experience finding out you have very little to no stomach acid?
I have a feeling this is why my
sibo
(bacteria) came back. Took the HCL pills & was up to 6 of them, so I know I don't produce stomach acid. But however, the pills didn't make me feel very well. so stopped taking them. Anyways just curious anybody having experience w/low stomach acid

Test results - complicated and would welcome any thoughts!
I have been battling a chronic bladder pain condition, iBS,
SIBO
, Gastroparesis ,Fibro, CFS and various other things since 2008 - presumably some of this is thyroid related.

Help required for Fructose Malabsorption/ SIBO
Anyone had this and managed to overcome it? Am at my wits end looking for 'alternative' treatments as I am sure the gastro will give me antibiotics which will make things worse. Lost far too much weight and just need to be able to put it back on. Hoping someone can help......

Fructose breath test
AND that I have
SIBO
? Just waiting for the report and no doubt a list of antibiotics ( to cause more digestive issues!) So I hope someone out there can advise more info and maybe some tried and tested remedies other than antibiotics. ( already on FODMAP) Thankyou:-)

Has anyone been diagnosed with SIBO here?
I've read about
SIBO
(small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) but any NHS staff (doctor, gastro consultant, gastro registrar) I speak to are reluctant to confirm it exists and what the optimal treatment plan is. Has anyone actually been diagnosed with
SIBO
and given any treatment?

Advise...thoughts...suggestions please
So my questions are: 1) besides
SIBO
tests where I have to ingest lactose or sucrose( have I got that right?) are there any other tests that can be done? And what tests for hypoglycaemia?

Now Pretty Sure My Thyroid's NOT the Problem DESPITE History & Test Results Recovery Is Possible - Update
Menopause test FSH 12.9 IU/l (ref 2.9-14.6) I'm also doing a complete set of digestive panels to check for leaky gut,
SIBO
(small intestinal bowel overgrowth) and malabsorption that I scored from a recent Digestive Conference. My conclusion I know I'm peri-menopausal - high FSH.

Answer to the High T3 question?
This is in conjunction with
SIBO
, hair-loss, fatigue etc but with gluten, dairy and sugar free diet already in place. No antibodies, adrenals, vit d, ferritin and B12 all ok. Your thoughts would be most appreciated.

Not so NICE guide lines for IBS
Examples which would have been pertinent to me include: * IBS Vs Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (
SIBO
) Are they distinct? Is
SIBO
a subset of IBS?
