19th Consolidation Run
I completed my first 5K on the Nike Running Club app. I feel very proud of myself for completing this run. I had a friend along today who pushed me when I felt like stopping. However, according to my FitBit it was only 4.88km and my friend said it was the same by his Strava, so I think next time I will

covid vaccine?
So, I see that not only are British APS patients more likely to consult with an APS knowledgable doctor then we in the States, but you have earned vaccine approval before us. Any prevailing perspectives on whether the vaccine is safe or helpful for us APS patients? (As many of you know, that dreaded

Shingles(PHN)
General question had shingles 6 weeks ago, now diagnosed as PHN. Can you take pregabalin the same time as your using capsaicin cream for the pain. My pharmacist was unsure. Thanks..

Flu jab and Covid vaccine
I'm due to have my flu jab (delayed as I needed a latex free jab ) on Friday and wonder whether I should cancel as I'm over 80 and therefore as far as I can understand the proposed rollout of the Covid vaccine here in the UK, I could get it in the next couple of weeks. Is a contraindication likely

learning disabled but not on flu jab list
Every year it is the same - I get called to have a flu jab - as I am a carer and I have asthma and then I book a jab for my son at the same time. I always have a bit of a tussle with reception who try to tell me he isn't on the list. I explain he is entitled, and after a bit of a discussion, we make

Skin pain driving me mad
Two years ago, following insect bites my immune system kicked off. It started suddenly with big red patches of sore skin all over my body. I was given strong steroid cream which didn't work. Then came agonising neuropathic skin pain which feels like every inch of my skin feels as if there are prickles

Has anyone been told they cannot have a flu jab?
Has anyone been told they cannot have a flu jab because they have not had a prescription for their inhaler for a period of time? I have received an NHS letter, however, my doctors surgery feels that I am not eligible. Although I am lucky enough for my asthma to be under control at the moment, I am still

Flu shot ?
Are people with APS or compromised immune system not suppose to get the flu shot? My dr says I should as I also have IGA deficiency (barely have this in my system). I was doing IVIG infusions until a few years later I had a bad reaction - so I stopped them. I’m a lil confused as I read different things

Ataxia & flu jab entitlement
Good Evening all, hoping everyone is ok. I’m just wondering if any of you ataxia sufferers receive the free flu jab from your local health centre & are you on the list at your GP centre? I don’t appear to be on it at my health centre, so was just wondering if I should be? Many thanks in advance.

Advice re: Flu Vaccination and chemotherapy/Avastin
Hello, has anyone had the Flu vaccination since coming off chemotherapy? I finished chemo 7 weeks ago, but I'm still having Avastin/(Bevacizumab), every 3 weeks, but i'm worried about having the Flu vaccine, (as I've avoided having any vaccinations for 27 years, since I was diagnosed with M.E/Chronic

14 day quarantine from child who has received live flu vaccine needed?
My 11 year old daughter, who lives with my ex is getting a flu jab tomorrow. The school nurse has advised us not to have contact for 14 days as it is a live vaccine. Is this necessary? I had my own jab a month ago.
