Update after weaning off prednisone
Hello all- I’m 70, had PMR at 60 following

Hi Can I ask all UK readers. I assumed as I have PBC I would receive a letter from my local Health Centre about the 12 week self isolation but as of yet I have not received any notification even though I recieve the flu vaccine yearly. Does PCB not fit this criteria? Thanks

Is everyone with CLL on the UK Government Vulnerable/Shielding List ?
I am 2 years into W&W and still have no symptoms. I was advised in January that it would probably be "many years" before treatment was necessary. The consultant only indicated that I should have my annual flu jab plus one for pneumonia but apart from that just advised me to carry on as normal and to

This has been a question Wayne and I have posed for 5 years that has some initial data covering actual patients who had at least one dose of pembro over several flu seasons of patient tracking. Good article to share with your docs in advance of the 2020-2021 season: https://www.medpagetoday.com/reading-room

So just to update my previous post ... I have been informed today that despite having lupus, receiving letter for flu jab and having to get 2 lots of public transport to get to work, I have to get there. NHS Occ Health person said “you are increased risk but are you happy with having to go to work”

MELATONIN FOR COVID-19 / Part 1
One possible problem for moderate to severe Covid-19 patients is the potential for significant damage to the lungs and possibly other organs like the liver based on what is being seen in patients. At this point, treatment options to try and prevent, repair or ameliorate this damage is very limited and

I’ve read that a lot of people who have the virus with underlying conditions and unfortunately pass away, do so as the result of pneumonia. So am I right in thinking

Shingles vaccine and blood tests
Thanks all for your replies on the vaccine and blood tests. I will ask if vaccine is live when time comes (3 years yet) and see if I can register to see blood test results - I have one for thyroid every year.

Vaccines
What do you all think about vaccines? I have shunned all vaccines for years even before I was made aware I had MS. Then I thought I heard if you had ms you should not get vaccines. I was reading the mssociety web page yesterday and it says regular flu shots are not only ok but encouraged. Who knew

Flu Shot & Long Term Unwellness
Greetings everyone, I know this is a touchy subject to some - but I was just wondering if anyone else out there has perhaps experienced what I have. I was diagnosed with Fibro about 5 years ago, after making literally dozens of trips over the years to all GP's in my surgery complaining about major fatigue

Should I be shielding if I am offered the flu jab via my doctors?
I am 48 year old asthmatic and have been offered the flu jab from my doctors for years. Although I have never been admitted to hospital with my asthma, I was almost admitted 3 years due to a respiratory virus (which I had 3 courses of oral steroids for). Last may I had a chest infection and was given
