Flare after Shingrix shingles vaccine?
Hi Everyone, I received my second (recombinant)
shingles
vaccine
yesterday. The first one caused a mild fever and malaise. This time my finger joints are stiff and pretty painful. Has anyone else had something similar and, if so, how long did it last? Thanks so much

Yes, You CAN have the Shingles Vaccine
Hi Everyone, I'm writing this just in case there is anyone out there who thinks they can't have the
shingles
vaccine
because they are on pred. I believed this and refused the vaccine. I later found It was only true if you were on over 20mgs of pred (which I am not).

Does anyone know how long you have to leave it after rutuximab before having the
shingles
vaccine
. I had infusion in December & my GP has never offered this or the pneumonia jab so was going to chase this up. Tia

Shingles vaccine… bad reaction
Last Thursday I had the
Shingles
vaccine
, 1st dose. I immediately had a sore arm, painful really and that continued into the weekend. I also felt generally unwell, completely out of kilter and dizzy/ nauseous at times, runny nose and a bit of a cough.

Shingles Vaccine Update
Well I never!! I woke to a text message from our GP's surgery to say that I am eligible for a shingles vaccination with a link to book in with a nurse. My GP's obviously looked up the guidelines & though better of her decision! I'm just hoping that after the fight to get it I don't have any adverse

I had the second part of my
shingles
vaccine
yesterday and shivered and shook my way through the night with an almighty sore arm this morning. I wrapped myself in my electric throw to keep warm in bed and am hoping to feel a bit better later. Anybody else had a reaction to this vaccine.

I just popped this on Thyroid Uk but thought I would lift your day too.
-Finally,
Shingles
vaccine
. We have non live vaccine only now and can give the 2 doses , 6 months apart. Called Shingrix.
I am housebound, have low immunity but the vaccine was refused me due to having to send a nurse out !

Shingles vaccine?
I unknowingly (until after) had shingles in March 2023 which I believe, triggered first episode of Afib. Now thinking about having the vaccine, concerned that it will trigger Afib. What are people's experiences of having the vaccine? Do I need it yet. Maybe still have antibodies in my system? Will

Not good
When looking in my ear he said it was stipppled and had never seen anything like it and thinks I may have had a viral infection after telling him I had my second dose of
shingles
vaccine
on 10th he put me on Aciclovir and a high dose of prednisilone.

Immunocompromised people aged 50+ are now eligible for the shingles vaccine
Immunocompromised people aged 50 and over are now eligible for the
shingles
vaccine
. The
vaccine
reduces your chances of getting
shingles
and reduces the risk of complications if you still develop it.
