Hip/groin injury holding me back
Even after taking a few days off and going back to a week 3 run, I'm finding just a couple of mins
running
causes a flare up and then following a run, its difficult to put weight on the leg in question until I've completed some post exercise stretches.

An easier run, but the knees aren’t happy
It’s like my left foot has been
running
the Marathon des Sables, not plodding along a riverbank! I’m not sure barefoot shoes for
running
are the way forward for me, but I need something different.

Trip to the Physio; the verdict!!
She said that my long runs have built up the necessary leg strength for regular distance
running
and there were no concerns. Happy days!

Am I too slow?
I’m posting this here because you’re advocates of slow
running
but, I’m dismayed that, despite
running
for 55 minutes today (a miracle from where I started), I tracked it for the first time ever and only covered 5k in 50 minutes. I feel fit but deflated. Is this just me?

Recommend me a first marathon…
With hindsight, I think it was really good to have another year getting stronger and
running
regularly before having a go at the big M! Recovery has gone really well and I’ve got into some good habits. I can hear that little voice of temptation calling me again!

Magnesium cream, the wonder fix!
I decided to rest it this week, apart from some very gentle
running
and warm up/cool down drills (I coach 3 nights a week which entails about a mile of
running
whilst coaching). I had another race booked yesterday, and its a hilly course, so I was a bit anxious as the niggles were still there.

A new stage of recovery
This morning I did 35 minutes of pilates, some stretching, a 5/5/5/5 session of walking and
running
. Last week's 3 x 3 minute runs were easy. The two 5 minute runs today were absolutely no problem.

NRC 10k Plan 3 weeks to go: 10k Headstarts aka ⭐️ 10k Run at last! ⭐️
I thought I’d head out and see with the aim of
running
anywhere between about 3 and 10k. I loaded up Coach B’s 10k Headstarts just in case. That proved to be a good decision. As I left the house it started raining. Typical since it had been bright sunshine all morning.

Pap17 I am still about
I have gone back to the beginning giving advice and my experience to new and returning runners giving them the confidence it’s not all about the speed but the fact the app will get you
running
for 30 minutes at the end.

Do I have Ords?
Anyway, the appointment came through on the NHS app and I was
running
through my test results and I saw that I was tested for serum thyroid peroxidase ab at the end of January last year.

I’m still running!
I hope u all are still loving
running
and if you’ve lost the motivation or getting bored of the same old route - change it up! Sometimes a break or a new thing will help you appreciate the old faithful run later on. Best of luck everyone and if your in the uk - try a bank holiday may challenge!

Could I try BAT to restore sensitivity to previously used antiandrogen treatments.
I know its not SOC but I am
running
out of choices and looking for some clarity. Its basically impossible to have these conversations with the Oncologist. Once I finish Radium 223 then I am only offered chemotherapy at this point.

Week 4 run 1 done!
Seemed such a big jump from 9 minutes to 16 minutes
running
and 3+5 laps. But somehow did it. Slowed right down, but strangely my watch tells me I actually ran the 5 minute stretches at my normal (slow) pace. It was tough and my heart rate was at my absolute max at the end.
