2023: W24R3 - Even more snow :-)
My
running
route is getting more and more inaccessible. What the snow and frost didn't do, the cars that passed along the road did. I'm trying to avoid the treadmill for now, but I don't know how much longer I'll be able to do that. I'm back for good this time :-) Happy
running
!

Worried ill lose my running skills 🏃♀️
Morning everyone I hope you are all well and enjoying
running
in the rain. I actually love
running
in the rain if I'm honest 😊 although nice warm rain would be my preference. So since graduating a few weeks ago I have continued to run 3 times a week.

Entries still open, join us for the HU10 spring 2024
Instead, a unique HU experience, run your way 😍 If you're currently
running
around 5k, this may encourage you to push to 10k. If you're
running
at 10k, perhaps it will give you the boost to get to the magic 10 miles. If you're
running
beyond, perhaps you can use it as one of your speed runs!

First day
Wondered if the rest day was really necessary as this isn't overly challenging and I have done quite a lot of
running
in the past (not for the past two years) but see that skipping rest days is really not recommended, especially if you have old
running
injuries like me, so I will be sensible and follow

I love the way running makes you feel - after!!
I’ve done a lot of reading and I think it may be pelvic floor dysfunction… although who knows 🤷🏻♀️ Either way, to enjoy my
running
at the moment, I have to run, walk, run walk and so on, else the pain comes on very badly and I have to stop
running
altogether and just walk.

S-ICD - Am I still able to exercise as normal without too many limitations?
When you have an S-ICD, is it okay when
running
, swimming, cycling or doing light weights at the gym? Or does the size of it /wires make things like this a bit awkward?

Shoe mileage?
They look OK but I can fold them in half and they feel like
running
with bricks strapped onto my feet... Anyone else noticed this? EDIT - here are some pics of my Brooks at 425 KM

WIZARD WORKOUTS for BUSY BODIES... Calling all NEWBIES & C25K-ers !
Good morning
running
people...! This is just a call-up for those folk who have not yet visited the Strength and Flex Forum... Whilst we are starting our
running
adventures on C25K, we may experience a few niggles and twinges, hopefully, not injuries.

A 10K in the sunshine ☀️
I’ve been working hard to get back to fitness
running
to heart rate, gradually extending my long runs, speed intervals, the usual stuff that we do when for whatever reason we have to take a long break from
running
. For the last 4 or 5 weeks my long runs have started to hit 10K and beyond.

C25K - Mixing it up!
I managed it though and had big plans of continuing to strengthen and improve my
running
speeds and distances, even joining the Bridge to 10k and other longer distance
running
groups. However! I stopped.

Happy Easter
Haven't done much
running
this week just the one. Played 6 a side football last night and will go to parkrun this weekend but the good thing is I'm off next week so I'm going to try and get a 10k in.

16k/10 miles in the bag. Longest run ever.
Maybe I will give trail
running
a go ? Having done this I do feel like a HM may be in my ability so we will see. Feeling good for an over 60s previous
running
hater. Keep at it folks anything is possible.

YWA drops a 23 min session all about calves!
And as our lower legs are a key body part for all our activities, from walking,
running
to rowing, I just thought I’d post here, also to ensure I have a reminder to try out this session this weekend! See you on the mat! https://youtu.be/2XhJ63OQ7Ww?si=qtCG5R27cjqd-Nhv

Very little holiday running 😎
But I have done other stuff, just not
running
. So the weekend at home beckons, as do the
running
shoes and we'll have to see how it goes. Hopefully any lost fitness will return and the determination to get back into my stride, quite literally. Adios, and happy
running
from a hot and sunny Spain.

RED January week 3 ☑️
Running
on a treadmill has encouraged me to mix up my
running
with intervals in order to make the time pass more, which is something I don’t really do on the road. I feel I’m getting those fast twitch fibres reactivated!

No running for me for 2 weeks 😭😭
After some oral surgery today I’ve been advised not to run for at least 2 weeks. I’ve just got to w6r3 so will have to go back a few weeks when I get back into it. 😢. O well fingers crossed 🤞 I’ll manage a run in time for Christmas 🧑🎄🧑🎄

When shall I start 10K ??
I'm
running
3 times a week (including a weekly Parkrun) and swimming twice weekly too. While the weather is not so "run friendly" - ie windy, dark and cold (I don't do cold weather), I'm
running
on a treadmill during the week and outside in the Parkrun on a Saturday.
