It’s been a cold Easter in the Lakes, even had a flurry of snow at 5am this morning, still a bit under the weather from recent flare so unable to walk too far ,so been out for drives and picnics instead . So beautiful it lifts the spirits . Enjoy and Stay safe M x

Wim Hof and breathing techniques
Evening my lovelies. I hope that you are all well and enjoying the long weekend!! Has anyone heard of Wim Hof otherwise known as The Iceman? I was sent a link regarding how this incredible man has over 26 Guinness Book of record entries and has overcome many fascinating obstacles through his ice cold

Coughing after a run
I completed W9R1 yesterday. I have noticed that after every run, I get an irritated feeling in my windpipe and I keep needing to cough. Not a chesty cough, more like an irritating tickley cough. I manage to run for the full distance, I get a little breathless but nothing major and my breathing gets

Lupus life insurance is it possible!
Hi everyone, it’s been a very long time since I’ve posted anything on this forum. Hope you’re all as well as you can possibly be, if not I hope you feel better soon. I have a question for you all and although it’s through the possible worst pandemic this country has been through, I would like to ask

Critically ill patient with sepsis infection stays asleep and is not responding.
My husband was on his way to recovery after Covid pneumonia. 5 days ago he got an infection, along with low blood pressure and now is unresponsive. He finally was able to complete dyalisis last night, but still asleep? Anyone been through this?

Ongoing Cough
This is an update on my husband’s cough. My husband has now been off Imbruvica for a month and still no improvement w/his cough. He will be off for another month yet due to getting his COVID shot. By that time, he will have been off for two months. He will then restart at a lower dose. He has seen

My obsessive researching my actually be paying off
We’ve said we would be accepting of no reintubation for gradual
respiratory
failure
, but that we’d like it to be an option for treatable situations for example if more muscle conditioning is required.

However my arms feel heavy and now both hands are freezing, I feel quite cold In general. I rang the drs and they asked me to check

AZ Vaccine
Hi all, Had my AZ jab on the 11/03/21, had to query this with my consultant as I’m on Rituximab infusion. No pain with jab on the day except bump on arm but around 9pm started getting hot and cold went to bed and that’s when it really hit me. Very hot almost feverish along with feeling cold and perhaps

Who else has cold hands?
Mine are always cold. I wear gloves indoors a lot and often put a couple hand warmers inside. You'll also find me with my hands wrapped firmly around a warm cup of tea/coffee when sitting down. I think the only time they get warm is in the summer. 9 months of the year they're cold.

cold showers
Possibly a bit left-field but scientists suggest that cold water immersion MAY improve immune system. I think the proposal is that the shock causes the adrenal gland to go into hyperdrive. I suspect that my adrenal gland has gone to sleep and is not eager to get back to work as I go below 10mg Prednisolone

Cold cap
Hello, I am facing my second round of chemo for ovarian cancer. Fortunately my last one was in 2018. I was thinking of using the cold cap to keep from losing my hair this time. I wanted to find out if anyone in this site has had experience with it. Would love to hear from you! Jean

Journey to diagnosis
Hi everyone, hope you’re ok. I’m new here and have been under rheumatology for a year now. I’ve got multiple health conditions and understand that it takes a while to get diagnosed due to the crossover in symptoms. My ANA keeps switching between positive and negative, but the nurse said that happens
