Freezing cold!

It’s around the same time every evening, I just become baltic! I don’t know if I’m just tired and that’s why, but it’s proper blanket, hot drink and hot water bottle on my feet. In the end I just go to bed, still with a cold nose 😂 Currently 8dp5dt, anyone else or is my body just weird?

I’m currently on my TWW. We already have a little one through IVF. First time I wasn’t cold and it was a BFN. Second time I was freezing and we ended up having our little boy. I’m hoping I get cold again this time, nothing yet though but only day 2 for us.

I would say it’s a good sign but that’s only going from my experience. Xx

Thanks for the reply! I have a little boy from IVF 4 years ago but can’t remember if I was cold or not 😂 have had 2 failures since. I’m hoping it’s a good sign now based on you 😂 we clutch to anything don’t we lol xx

We do indeed. Mine was 2 years ago and I have struggled to remember all the bits as well.

One problem I’m having is I think I’m having a reaction to the pessaries as I have come out in hives today, I’m so itchy.

Oh I think I saw that! I took a reaction to the injections that I’m on this time that I wasn’t on before. My skin got very dry and I had a rash on the tops of my thighs. The nurse said I could take an antihistamine and it would be ok so you could try that. I just drank loads of water and used baby oil when I got out of the shower and it seemed to calm down after a few days.

Thank you for this. I don’t think this is just a rash but it’s good to no you took antihistamine. I’m going to call the clinic in the morning. Xx

Good idea, just to make sure, nothing worse than an itch you know you shouldn’t scratch!

OMG thanks for this. I have been going crazy with itch and getting bumpy skin and have not been able to figure out what is going on. Clearly it is the cyclogest. It’s mostly my legs but also my back. Where for you?

Rfletcher profile image
Rfletcher in reply toTheFoxes

Top of my legs, around my arm pits, bits on my arms and just a little bit on my tummy.

I put a post up earlier asking if anyone has had this but nobody has posted on it yet. Glad it’s not just me. Xx

Are you from norn iron because I have never heard anyone outside the 6 counties describe themselves as Baltic 🤣

We say ‘it’s Baltic’ in Newcastle too 😆 And from memory I remember feeling particularly cold after my transfer..which was a success; so hoping it’s a good sign for you :) x

Yep I’m also freezing. We are at 18c today and I’m in a woollen jersey, track pants, slippers and socks and still cold.

So glad I saw this post as I'm dressing as though its winter and sometimes with double socks. Gives me hope as the TWW has been hard. Also having very very lite sleep and I am guessing this is probably from the cyclogest.

I spent the first 12 weeks of pregnancy shivering. It's calmed down a bit now but it started 5dp5dt (I write everything down from each cycle so that I can compare 😝)

Good luck

😘

Is it possible you have anemia? I have it and get very cold with it x

Jam-master profile image

I’ve been tested for it before and been ok. I’m generally a cold person anyway, but it just seems more obvious in the evenings just now. I’ll keep an eye on it though thanks!x

I have thyroid issues/Hashimoto's and being cold is one of the symptoms. When it gets to the point that my feet are freezing when going to sleep....I know it's probably because my TSH is rising and sure enough my doctor usually ups the dose. Hopefully this is not the case in your situation but maybe worth checking unless you did already. Good luck on the test date!
