Chocolate cyst / Ovary removal
Hi there, I found out this week I have a 6cm cyst on my right ovary due to endometriosis that I've had for over 12 yrs. Has anyone had an ovary removed due to a cyst? If so what are the after effects? Please let me know Luce x

Hello all
My sister is healing from her look/see surgery. We have an appointment next week to go over the different chemo regimes. Is it the doctors who choose which drug you go on or does the patient have to decide? I am concerned that she has disengaged and assume that is due to the shock of the diagnosis.

CA 125 question
I recently had a complete Laparoscopic Hyst with Bilateral Salpingo Oophorectomy for a 8cm mass on my right ovary. My CA 125 was 128.7 prior to the surgery. The mass was diagnosed as a Borderline Mucinous tumor. My surgeon says this won't need any follow up treatment except for monitoring every 6 months

Zoladex injection versus Oophorectomy.
Just wanted some advice if there is any one on here who has had ovary removal as opposed to having forced menopause with zoladex. I am really struggling with the side effects from the injection 5 months in, and wondering if losing my ovaries would be a better option. I know having another op is not

Hello my wife under went a complex polypectomy (pre cancerous) in January this year with the clinical lead, in our local hospital. Still in shock from diagnosis to surgery.
I was diagnosed with Endometriod adenocarcinoma on 1/4/17. That was the hardest appointment ever. Felt like I was dreaming. My Obgyn and his nurse sat around me to tell me and then of course said we are so sorry. I am 37 with a past history of PCOS . They made my 1st oncologists appointment for me

Health screening following salpingo-oophorectomy
Hello everyone, I am a BRACA gene carrier & double breast cancer survivor (aged 31 & 42). I had a salpingo- oophorectomy at 37, I am now 45. I have had no follow up health screening after my sudden, early menopause and I am concerned about the reports of detrimental health effects. I am looking for advice

lymph node removal - would love some advice
I was diagnosed with stage 3, grade 3 breast cancer following a mastectomy in August 2016 and had sentinel lymph node removal. Two were found to be positive. I have just finished chemotherapy and am due to have the rest of my lymph nodes removed (intermediate stage they call it) in two weeks time. Whereas

Possible Terry's/Lindsay's nails? What could this mean?
Hello everyone! I've noticed that my nail beds have become white over the recent months. I can't remember correctly when this began, but I do have a photo below of what my nails look like as of right now. I'm not 100% sure if this is Terry's or Lindsay's nails but your guidance would be sincerely appreciated

Oophorectomy post-menapausal?
Hello! I'm new here and found this site because I was looking for information on ovary removal post-menapausal. My mother died from OC and my sister and I have had stage 0 breast cancer. I have tested positive for a defective RAD50 gene and probably should have my ovaries removed before it is too

Vitamins and supplements
Some advice needed about the timings of taking vitamins, supplements and how they might react with prescribed drugs. The prescribed meds I take daily are 2 x 200mg Hydroxy, 2 x 30mg Lanzoprazole, 2 x Adcal-D3. I've been having loads of GI problems since my cholecystectomy last year (bile reflux as well

Next steps? Full/partial hysterectomy
So, home from diagnostic lap and they found endo mainly around my ovaries. I was also meant to have a hysteroscopy and polypectomy and have coil fitted but they couldn't do these three things as my cervix was blocked with fibroids (they hadn't mentioned fibroids on my scan). The surgeon said there are

Severe endo. Choice of ovary removal or bowel surgery
Had quite a shock when I went back to my surgeon this week. He confirmed my diagnosis was severe endometriosis. I had though it was mild to moderate. He had warned me of the need for more surgery which I hadn't been keen on. I had started to brace myself for this bowel op after the sigmoidoscopy and

Crashing?
I think I'm crashing (my term for when symptoms come flooding back) but I'm not really sure. Complicating my confusion is the fact that I was in a car accident in Nov and am still dealing with concussion and whiplash symptoms. I've had two migraines in the last month, the latest one with aura. When I

In a lot of pain
Hi, I'm 27, from the UK and not sure where else to turn. I've been to the Dr about being in pain, however he's said if Naproxen doesn't help, I'll likely need an injection straight into my shoulder.. which I don't really want.. For about a month now, I've been living on otc ibuprofen to help with my
