Subclinical hypothyroidism advice for next appointment
Hi, I was told I was I had Subclinical hypothyroidism in 2017 but was not significant so no further input. Unsure of exact results but TSH was raised, but <10 with normal T4 (but do not have a copy of the results). Past few years have noticed hair loss, muscle aches & pains, tiredness, some weight gain

Newly diagnosed
Hey y'all. I was recently diagnosed with pancreatitis, I had an acute attack and was hospitalized for 11 days. I've never had issues before now that I knew of, but upon doing a CAT scan they discovered a 9cm cyst on my pancreas. I don't drink, but I did eat quite poorly unfortunately. I had to wait for

Hi all, I am looking to hear from real people (you folks on this forum) about your experiences for a bilateral oophorectomy. I have been suffering with debilitating endometriosis symptoms for more than a decade and on Monday March 4th I saw a consultant about my treatment steps. She was the surgeon

Hello everyone. Firstly I want to say a big thanks to everyone that helped me understand my mum's results and situation. I also got my wires crossed and gave some wrong info. My mum did have a test before they prescribed 25mg, TSH 8.58. They said as she was 'borderline' they would try levo before considering

Hi, I haven’t posted for a while as I have been investigated following a positive faecal occult blood test. They have found a large polyp in my caecum which I am having removed on Friday. For some unknown reason, I have had a few months of remission from my RLS but now they are ‘kicking off’ again.

oophorectomy and tubes snd endo removed ten days ago pain still
I had ovaries and tubes and endo removed ten days ago. I thought I was doing quite well but my left side ovary pain is back so I’m worried now but the ovary is gone - hopefully it’s just muscle pain but I can’t bear the thought of this pain again. Anyone else had this op and then been ok after a while

post cholecystectomy issues
I had my gallbladder out (gallstones) 10 years ago and for the first 5 or so years I had no problems whatsoever, life returned to normal. Then I started getting these weird night time vomiting events. Always seemed to be woken between 2 and 3am with a heavy pressure in my stomach/gut, not feeling nauseas

cholecystectomy and cirrhosis
I’ve been advised that I need a cholecystectomy due to a polyp (9 x 6.5 mm). I have cirrhosis, but am fully compensated. I have been told that this operation can be very dangerous for someone with cirrhosis. Any help or advice please?

Estrogen Replacement therapy after surgical menopause
Hi everyone! I would like to chat with somebody who may have or is going through a similar experience. I had a full hysterectomy- removal of everything, over 20 years ago. I am on 2mg of Estrogen once per day. The docs used to do the implant yearly but it is no longer available. I am now 51

Further update Gallbladder removal
So I am home after a long day. Had to get up at 5am to be at hospital by 7am. All the usual preps and questions then operation took place at 10am. Because I have an LBBB (No underlying heart issues) They were extra careful with monitoring so had an extra canula thingy in my inner wrist to monitor heart

Update re: Gallbladder issue.
I am having my gall bladder removed on the 9th any advice or tips on recovery would be very welcome. Backstory is that I have had intermittent issues for several years. Mentioned to my GP (Male) who to be honest did not seem very interested in my symptoms, was given PPI for "indigestion" as blood

hypothyroidism and surgical menopause
Anyone struggling with hypothyroidism and surgical menopause? I could use support as I am struggling with both and trying to find how to distinguish which is causing my debilitating symptoms. Also could oral progesterone be helpful with thyroid function or be the cause of hypothyroidism? Any insight

Thyroid results
Hi. I have been struggling with chronic fatigue and joint pain for almost 12 months. I have had Thyroid tested and all normal according to GP. I'm in surgical menopause and taking Testosterone, Oestrogen and Progesterone and all my levels are good for those so I'm wondering if it could be thyroid related

Don't want to go back on the pill/more surgeries! Deep infiltrating endo on bowel and uterine polyp removed recently for heavy bleeding.
Hello fellow endo warriors. I have a dilemma. I really don't want to go back on the bcp after being on it for 15 years as it has not been effective for my deep infiltrating endo on my bowel. My ultimate goal is to heal endo at the core using non-hormonal & surgery approach. Not just a bandaid solution
