Open heart surgery
I had my first meeting with the surgical team at Papworth yesterday . I’m now pencilled in for an aortic valve replacement in June. We discussed my AF , the effects of surgery on episodes after and anticoagulants . Interestingly they stated that oral anticoagulants reduce the risk of stroke by 60/70%

Bra tips
Hi, I would like some help. I had some very comfortable supporting bras bought from my heart surgery.Alas these haven't offered much support at all after my breast procedure and became too tight. I had underestimated how big my boob would swell after surgery, the haematoma and seroma didn't help Ideas

cataract Surgery
I needed eye surgery to remove cataracts from both eyes, my first eye surgery was in April 2022, I then had to wait for clear vision in eye after surgery before the cataract in my second eye was removed. After both eyes regained clear vision, you need to have an eye test, and possibly get new spectacles

KNEE SURGERY?
High folks, went to see my consultant a few days ago, asked when I was getting my 1st surgery and we discovered I am NOT on the waiting list. This is apparently due to a CLERICAL ERROR with the orthopedic department. My consultant, lovely person has promised me she will ask for a priority appointment

Dry eye medication
For several years since eye surgery I have been prescribed eye lubricants. The prescriptions always say Thealoz Duo Gel yet I have always been given the Thealoz Duo UD even when I questioned this several times. Recently I was given the Gel form and nothing else. Of course this is excellent at night

This mountain plateau-esque image represents 20 minutes of slow (Japanese style slow) jogging. Which feels like a real achievement. Bedwetting: The Shame of Wearing Diapers at Bedtime
The following is an article I'm interesting in publishing. It was suggested by an individual at The Simon Foundation for Continence that I publish it here on HealthUnlocked. I hope it helps both individuals suffering from bedwetting as well as their parents. Any comments or suggestions are greatly

post surgery stitches
Hi all 👋 I’m about 4 weeks post op from my diagnostic laparoscopy and recovery seems to be going well so far but my stitches seem to be taking ages to dissolve! I have the dissolvable stitches which apparently should have gone in a couple weeks but they are holding strong and don’t want to come away

SWOLLEN ANKLES WITH LUNG CONDITION
Hi, This is my first post on here I think. Almost a year ago I was in hospital as I couldn't breath, felt like I was suffocating. I'd had a chest x-ray 6 months previous and was told my lungs were quite normal and my dr couldn't find a reason for my breathlessness. It did improve for a while, but came
