Major surgery and a Vasovagal event
I had gluteal
reconstructive
surgery
. The anaesthetist suggested I should increase my pred. So I did the sick day rule and added 5. Three days after surgery I had a Vasovagal event and the crash cart was called. I had a concussion and stayed in hospital a further two nights.

delayed reconstruction
I was supposed to receive
reconstructive
surgery
and have titanium implant to protect the sensitive area where my skin is my only protection to my brain. That was supposed to be 3-6 months after the initial surgery.

Hormonal therapy ?
Hi, I was diagnosed with extended DCIS with ER+, PR+.I had a total mastectomy with a diep flap 2 weeks ago, My surgeon referred me to medical oncology for hormonal therapy. I am curious do I still need hormonal therapy as I already had a mastectomy, as far as cancer recurrence and preventing cancer

Hi, I'm a breast cancer survivor and I had a double mastectomy. It is planned that I'm going to have the Diep flap procedure and I was wondering if anyone could advise me on how weight gain and loss affect the body after this procedure? Thanks

Nerve damage
Since my carpal tunnel, cubitunnel and median nerve surgery 2 years ago, I have experienced horrible, constant seeking nerve pain in my left arm. My hand is deformed and I have no use of my arm and hand. After 2 hand surgeons, 2 PT's and a neurologist, all of whom said there was nothing they could do

Hello to all you amazing, strong, determined beautiful ladies 😍 I have always been an avid regular swimmer, the last 5 years I have swam in the sea and lakes mainly. However, my oncologist advised against swimming atall during treatment due to the significant risk of infection and the possible impact

Cosmetic surgery post transplant
Hello, Has anyone had cosmetic surgery post transplant? I’ve been doing surgery consultations and speaking with my nephrologist, planning for doing this in the future and have a sense of the risks. Currently on the fence, but curious if anyone else has gone down this path.

Dexta still no results
My Dr secretary rang the hospital. They haven't got enough staff to read them. Even if my Dr. Rang for results they still would have to wait for someone who can read them . I'm getting an appointment to see a Dr. At the surgery asap as the swelling is bigger, pain still up all of leg. And behind knee

Surgery waiting times
Hello 👋 I was finally given the best news in March and was put on the waiting list to have suspected endometrioma removed and csection wound exploration. I have what we think is scar endometriosis, so this was absolutely amazing news. Sadly, they said the wait is upto 1 year which is poop but I'm happy

PDA and Coarctation removal by Thoracotomy- Risks in 11 month old baby
HiMy daughter will undergo surgery for closure of PDA and Pseudo coarctation using the Thoracotomy. I read lots of papers around a high percent of patients developing scoliosis ? Do we have anyone in the community who had this surgery when they were 11 months old or know someone who had it done ? Thanks

Sonitus soundbite
Hi all, Has anyone had any experience of using the Soundbite device to address hearing loss in one ear after acoustic neuroma surgery? Just looking at options as I'm struggling a bit, so it would be good to hear of others experience. Here's the website: https://www.sonitusmedical.com/the-soundbite-hearing-system-in-detail
