Reconstructive surgery

Hi All, I'm scheduled for a delayed pedicled TRAM flap right breast reconstructive surgery on March 7, 2025. [u]Should I consider DELAYING if it means I can have a DIEP flap instead[/u]? Here's the thing: everything is TOTALLY LINED UP for my current schedule TRAM flap for 3/7/25.

Yesterday I had MOHS surgery on my nose, followed by reconstructive surgery to fill the gap.

I had a Craniotomy procedure 10 months ago I still have the right side of my scull exposed awaiting reconstructive surgery My head seems to swell quite a bit at the moment again where it’s exposed does anyone else have this problem

I had gluteal reconstructive surgery. The anaesthetist suggested I should increase my pred. So I did the sick day rule and added 5. Three days after surgery I had a Vasovagal event and the crash cart was called. I had a concussion and stayed in hospital a further two nights.

Does anyone have fluid swelling retention in reconstructive breast with tissue expander inside post surgery 4 weeks?

I was supposed to receive reconstructive surgery and have titanium implant to protect the sensitive area where my skin is my only protection to my brain. That was supposed to be 3-6 months after the initial surgery.

I recently had surgery to remove it and just got my stitches out and I’m cleared! (For now) It’s almost October and went for an eye exam, they found a spot behind my eye and referred me to a retina specialist. Fingers crossed, No Cancer Pleaase! I’m 44 yrs young , lol.

I was first diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2001 I had a mastectomy with reconstructive surgery followed by chemo and radiation. Following that I was put on Tamoxifen Arimidex and Taxol. After being off for 5 years last year in 2022 I was diagnosed in the other breast with cancer.

I had surgery last year for 2nd reoccurance a nodule near pancreas i spent 5 weeks in hospital due to infections. First 3 monthly scan was clear and 2nd one showed few lymph nodes bit bigger. Im due scan in May im on watch and wait possible chemotherapy at some point.

By day 6 post surgery I noticed that the skin that was previously sitting tightly behind my head post op is now creeping up the top side of my head, I can no longer see the stitches that were there so I assume they were snapped during an erection.

I haven’t had surgery, just chemo now twice, second time after parp didn’t work. I’m am now taking hormone letrozole. Was told decease had shrunk around bowel.

My question is around the surgery. Is it just day surgery or will it involve a stay in hospital again? We were thinking it might be a quick procedure but he’s had a letter for a pre-op which is identical to the one he received before the original surgery.

Hi All, I am due to have total thyroidectomy ( completion surgery) surgery in the next few weeks, I also have to have RAI.

I am in two minds as what to do; should I insist on having another surgery , or continue to put up with symptoms. Low level of inflammation if persistent can’t be good . If someone knows of similar case,, I would be grateful for advice.

I had an emergency cardiac event in December, I have been left with unstable angina and have a problem with my blood pressure and I keep blacking out so I am currently sat in my chair with what feels like my would falling down around me while dealing with how I feel, but also now I need more surgery
