Please send me some positivity.
I have just had the results of my CT scan and I have been told I have a recurrance in one para-aortic lymph node. I will either need surgery (if they can), chemo or radiotherapy. I'm so scared as this is my first recurrence from Stage 4 ovarian cancer and I'm only 56 and have two teenagers. I can't

Abnormalities on the CT 6 months after Chemo (while on Niraparib) CA125 at 4.9, anyone same experience?
Dear ladies, Background : IVB HSOC Jan 2023, Debulking April 23, last chemo June 23, on Niraparib since Aug 23, diagnosed at 40 yo (now 41). Now CT shows small abnormalities: They saw 2 nodular abnormalities on CT scan, (16mm) suspecting local recurrence but they do not know for sure. Also they noticed

Stage 4
Hello Everyone! I had a big excision surgery at the end of 2021, which helped a lot. However, I started to get certain symptoms again last year and they became consistent to the end of it. My Endometriosis specialist doctor asked for me to have an ultrasound so we can start investigating again, which

Poor communication or misunderstanding?
So... I saw my NHS Consultant on Monday about my leg pain and inability to walk when flaring and we discussed my surgery etc and I left the appointment feeling pretty deflated. Long story short she's told me I have to go on the progesterone only pill while I wait for my 1st Lap (hopefully less than 6

Surgery vs SBRT Cyberknife
Hubs diagnosed 11/15/23. 2 of 12 positive. Gleason 6 and 7. PSA 3.7-4.2. Met with Surgeon first, "slow growing, non aggressive" he believes is contained by looking at margins and pathology. Met with Radiology Oncologist, "favorable intermediate risk, non aggressive" he believes it is contained. Both

Grower or shower?
I'm going to be circumcised in about 8 weeks and am wondering if any of you have advice on the shower vs grower issue in relation to circumcision style. Am particularly interested if surgeons have discussed this with you beforehand and how you got on. Like most guys I'd prefer the high and tight style

hard time but manageable thanks to all you!
hi everyone! I have had a relapse that lasted 2 months. Then as soon as I was feeling better I started doing more. I washed my face and brushed my teeth. As I was crawling out of bathroom I noticed a fuzzy. I stood and picked it up thinking that would be faster. That landed in my twisting around to

Update 7.9 = Good News
I just saw both the Neurologist/Neurofibromatosis specialist and MPN specialist yesterday. The news was good on both fronts. Neurology Update. At 4.5 years out from surgery, there is no sign of recurrence of the brain tumor. The data on this type of glioma (Pilocytic Astrocytoma) indicates that

post menopausal health problems - pain in pelvic area after total hysterectomy
Hi Since being properly post menopausal and having a total hysterectomy for early stage cancer which was cured by surgery, I have developed several new health issues. One which causes me a lot of discomfort is pain in my pelvic area - it feels like it’s just inside my right buttock near the perineum

Update – surgery tomorrow, then on to Xeloda
Hello all – hope that the new year is finding you all on a good journey to healing and wellness. I unfortunately have been in and out of the hospital for 21 days with seven new MRIs as they are trying to discover the root cause of my back pain and inability to walk. In addition to the extensive bone

Back on the IC more than exercising and 🤞🤞🤞
Well after trying hard to ignore heel and hip pain since Christmas I decided to make an appointment with the physio. Went yesterday and after a very thorough examination he decided I had Achilles tendinitis and my OA of hip wasn’t helping it he also felt my age old back surgery was affecting both.

Mixing medications
Apologies if this is a well repeated question, but not sure how to search for old posts where l’m sure there is an answer! Does anyone know of a good site where one can search for drug interactions? Have tried the pharmacy which is okay if you can get them to answer the phone and I won’t start on problems

Heart Issues post Ivor Lewis
Hi, wondering if any of you that have had the Ivor Lewis surgery have had heart issues post surgery? At 3 years post surgery I started having atrial fibralation. Now 5 years post surgery and the afib is worse but I also have Braychardia ( very low heart rate) Looks like I will need a cardiac ablation

life after treatment
Hi I was diagnosed with stage 3 high grade cancer in March at the age of 54. I am wondering if others have been diagnosed at a similar age as I sometimes feel I am the only one. I had a surgery last year followed by sepsis and a stay in hospital! My chemo finished in mid September and I am now NED and
