Morning everyone :)

I am awaiting diagnostic laperoscopy and have just been informed that though I was expecting surgery between May and September, It will not be until April next year.

My husband and I have made the decision to use this time to try and conceive. I currently have the coil, and the first year was hell but until very recently it has improved symptoms. I am getting the coil out next month and am terrified about the bleeding I will experience as that is something the coil did manage to reduce, and prior to the coil was so challenging for me as it was so heavy and painful.

Does anyone have any advice about coil removal? Any advice about becoming pregnant? And any advice about how to make sex less painful.. because that too is something the coil has reduced.. my pain now tends to be the day after sex I get mild aching, but prior to the coil I sometimes could not have sex as the pain was too much.

Any advice would be hugely appreciated.

Thank you

Hi! Similar situation here but I was taking the mini pill. Stopping taking the mini pill was the worst decision ever, I started having pain every single day until my laparoscopy was done. It caused months of unnecessary pain that impacted my entire life (mental health & job). However after the excision laparoscopy things improved massively.

That’s just my experience but I wish you all the best and hope things are better for you
