Working with CLL!
Hello all, I'm new to this site but have already gained a vast amount of knowledge and feel a sense of support from reading the posts and engaging with your stories. I received all my test results, genetic/bloods etc and confirmation of CLL back in Dec 2021. I'm on the Watch and Wait journey! I work

Treatment options
Hello all, I have some questions regarding treatment, just wondered if anyone can help. 1. Has anyone (in the UK) managed to get medication other than SSRI plus antipsychotic? Either NHS or private? If so, how? 2. Has anyone tried multiple SSRIs with little to no success, then tried another that does

Struggling With New Symptoms
Hello everyone! This is my first post here... glad I found this support network. I have been dealing/living with PTSD for about four years now (three years diagnosed) as a result of a domestic violence relationship that culminated with an attempt being made upon my life. I know we aren’t supposed to look for reassurance - I just feel so alone…Any input is appreciated.
I’m 35 years old with a 20 + year history of OCD - mostly harm OCD but the theme has moved around over the years. About a month ago, I had a random thought that maybe my life isn’t real / this is some sort of simulation and I’ve been stuck on this ‘possibility’ ever since… I did some research and found

How do I help my son with depression??
My son recently came to me and told him he has been having very real thoughts of committing suicide. I already got him to a therapist immediately but I’m having such a hard time with this. I know it’s not about me, it’s about him. I’m so scared to talk to him, because I think I might say the wrong thing

Elbow replacement
Hi everyone, I don’t post very often ( please forgive me if I ramble) but would like some advice from anyone who has had an elbow replacement. How long was recovery, was there a lot of pain, how much more movement has been recovered etc. My right elbow is severely affected and my left one is now

Preparing for Autism Assesment
Hi. I’m having a private assessment for Autism. Is there anything I need to do to prepare for this? I am thinking of bringing a parent so that they can tell the assessor about my childhood, and also listing things I think are relevant. Is there anything else I can do? Thank you! EDIT: Just thought

Anxiety and Depression
Often over my adult life I have struggled with anxiety and depression. I again find myself "in a hole" struggling for a foothold. Anti-depressants seem ineffective. Talk therapy is expensive and takes a long time. I've found online meetin.gs to be helpful

Trying my best of my brothers passing
Hello everyone on here. Hope everyone’s had a good day. I recently posted about the passing of my older brother. His passing has been so incredibly difficult to face. He passed away unexpectedly, and the pain of his passing has been so hard to accept. I’ve been trying to stay on track with my life

Challenging month and day. Trigger warning , mention of sexual abuse, death in the family, family drama.
Hello. I am writing because I am in a hard situation. I have recently had some traumatic experiences regarding abuse... and even more recently I am grieving the loss of family. I recently changed my therapist, and it seems that I am not entitled to an appointment that offers me any support until I develop

Therapy/counseling
Hello, Anyone on here seeing a therapist or counselor to help navigate your situation? Is your parter? I believe that by nature, men tend to avoid seeking help from a therapist. I was seeing a therapist but it felt like all I did was sit there and cry. I’m debating if I should give it another try. I

How much support to give?
That's financial support... not emotional. My daughter is 26 and was recently diagnosed with ADHD. She did OK in school and went to college. No one ever suggested to my wife or me that she might have ADHD, but I'm not too surprised. She's currently going to a therapist, and that's who diagnosed her.

The Help: My Road to Recovery
My life currently feels like an uphill battle with depression. I'm sleeping all day, not really eating much and my heart feels broken into pieces. My life feels like a VHS tape stuck inside an old box television. I felt so low on Monday that I even considered suicide, but don't worry it was just a moment

My Story (newbie)
I have not been professionally diagnosed but I just know I have depression. Recently things have gotten way out of my control. Help, support, anything??
Hi all, I'm new here and really searching for some ADD support. I don't have the money to see a therapist but I really need to. Does anyone know of any free or economic ADD therapy options? I am in Europe and I haven't found much online. I'm 34 and a father. I have been in a relationship for 15 years

My Story and Journey thus far on Lexapro/anti-depressants
Well. I am here. I do not know where exactly to begin, but I guess I will start now. The past month has been the roughest month of my life. Easily, without any competition. I went through a dark period of my life, where I essentially destroyed my brain and critical thinking abilities. One day, I just

Therapy burnout/ fear of happiness
Things suck. I’m so done with therapy, they give me the same advice time after time. To think of the positive over the negative. At this point it’s literally wading through mounds of crap to get a sliver of good. I’m thinking of canceling this week because I just can’t handle the same advice to my same
