Counting my Blessings
The last week or so has been hell on my mental health. I've realized things about myself I never thought possible, lost my relationship of 2 years, and am now going on a journey of self-discovery all on my own. All of this while also going through the onboarding process for a new job, in a new field.

How do you know when it’s time to see a therapist ?
How do you know when you should talk to a Dr about going about treatment for clinical depression? I struggle with it daily, yet I have never seen a therapist and quite frankly I’m scared they would tell me it’s just hormones and that theirs nothing wrong with me. I’m also scared to tell my parents that

Anyone tried hemp oil gel for joint pain?
Has anyone tried hemp oil gel for pain relief? I had a phone consultation with the rheumy nurse today and she suggested it might help to rub in to sore hands. Apparently it doesn't contain medication, it's a natural product. At this point my hands are so sore I will try anything. She did say lots of

ADT therapists?
I have stage 4 prostate cancer and went through 6 rounds of chemo. Since I found out I have been on ADT now using Orgovyx. My wife and I are trying to find a therapist we can talk to about how to deal with the changes brought on by ADT. There doesn’t seem to be many if any therapists who specialize or

Almost nothing can deteriorate your body as quick as stress. I know sometimes we can’t help but feel immense stress with the pressure of our jobs and family responsibilities. But please take a moment the next time you get some free time to do what you need to do to de stress. At work I had 5 patients

Anyone else feeling even more miserable after therapy? Pls help 😭
I was supposed to feel better but i can't stop crying, i took overtime because i was struggling so much and i'm scared i burdened my therapist and that she might have troubles. I felt worse. And i missed my lecture. And i feel like i should have just gone bottle it up instead of opening the wounds. So

Therapy and Medication
I'm now three days post rock bottom. I cried a little less yesterday than I did the day before, and I'm sure I'll cry less tomorrow than I have today. It's getting easier, and I'm slowly figuring out how to adjust to this new normal that I've brought on. For those that don't know, I've been suffering

Is this a therapist red-flag or am I being sensitive?
I'm trying to find a therapist who can actually offer guidance around ADHD and I'm getting super frustrated. It's been two years I've been shopping around. I was supposed to have a second online session with someone this week (our first session was two weeks ago because I was away last week). Scheduling

How to address therapist shortcomings?
hello folks! Very long first post. I’ve been with working with a therapist for about a year now to address some difficulties I have around school and doing homework. She specializes in ADHD and her reviews were mostly positive, but her only strategy was to have me sit and do my work while she sat on

Terrified and Hopeful
Since my last post I've come home, my boyfriend (do I even call him that anymore?) and I have spoken & decided that for the time being we will continue to cohabitate since it's mutually beneficial for us, and we can be friendly roommates but nothing more. There's no saying if we'll ever actually get

Self Inflicted Crisis is Causing Severe Anxiety and Possible Depression
Hello, I'm new here. This is my first experience with using an online support group, or a support group at all really. To preface this, I have seen a therapist and it has been determined that I suffer from anxiety & catastrophic thoughts. The last year and a half have been a whirlwind for me. I was

Just gonna lay it out there…been crying all day. Bad depression.
I started Lithium a few days ago and have decided to stop. I was on an incredibly low dose so I’m not too worried about coming off of it but feel so much sadness, anxiety. I don’t know where to turn. I’m the one, if anyone remembers - no big deal, that had a very good friend cut me out of her life right

Overwhelmed and Scared
I am always a fairly anxious person, but my anxiety is overwhelming right now. I have had several things happen recently that have put me over the top. My son, who is a junior in college, is going through a lot so I have been so upset over these things. It is something that happened that he is completely

DWP : 1:1 PHONE CALL - UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE
Hi folks, yesterday had a 1:1 phone call from an occupational therapist with the DWP and my search for work. I'm 63 with RA in multiple joints, it's flared up again and not settled down yet. Lot's of questions I felt intrusive and unnecessary. I now have depression again. I've worked since 17, over

To take metformin or not?
Hi all 👋🏻 Think I’m having a last minute wobble but wanting to get some other opinions. I have PCOS and in the past have had 60+ day cycles. I pushed the clinic to give me metformin which (no surprise) made me feel crap so when I got covid in august I stopped taking it after only 3 weeks and never

10 years post-injury: lost confidence in physical ability, causing falls. Physio maybe?
I am wondering if anyone has experienced something similar and could give me some tips. My mother in law had a serious brain injury 10 years ago. Over time she has developed more low moods, negative or anxious attitudes to physical activity and has put on a lot of weight. She is not able to remember
